Fuck no. It’s only a token amount for the cheap seats I can afford anyway. Also what Frosh said

As a 6'5" guy if it's too close I passive aggressively jam my knees into their seat like a champ!

I’m 6’1. Uncomfortable in any configuration. So i dont recline, and I do nothing if someone in front of me does. Reclining is not more comfortable and being reclined on is only slightly less in the grand scheme of discomfort. If i was 6’5 i would be with^ which is another reason i dont recline. Its no benefit to me and maybe uncomfortable for someone else. Unless I copped first class .. then damn right I’m reclined.

No but mostly because I don't know how to recline them and I don't want to be the one fumbling around with their seat looking like a fucking idiot.

The fucking worst is when the asshole in front of you fully reclines his seat right after the plan takes off. Just let's it rip. Happens to me pretty often. Fucking thing come flying backward right towards your dome. Hopefully you're not leaning forward!

No. Not because I’m super considerate of the person behind me. It’s just not *that* comfortable for me to recline.

I'm about 6'6", so I think reclining airline seats (in economy, anyway) should be a flogging offense. I don't do it to people, and if it is done by the person in front of me, I jab them in the kidneys with my knees until they take the hint - both out of spite and because I don't have a choice. It's an airline seat. It's not like I've got room to manspread or anything.

was the 'badass' comment about jabbing someone in the kidneys with their knees the entire flight? or someone choosing to recline a seat?

So I'm supposed to subsdize your leg room by sitting uprightt for 6 hours just because you're too cheap to buy a seat that meets your standards. Its funny how selfish of a take it is to expect other people to put your comfort above their's because they are "considerate"

I think the FAA should force airlines to remove their reclining seats, or, standardize the amount of room provided between rows to provide enough room

I don't even get the issue though. The seats recline on an angle with your legs near the vertex. This means the part of the seat near your legs barely moves on recline. I don't see how the top of the seat being closer affects you. The only issue I can imagine is trying to have a laptop on the tray table.

Theres way more benefit to the person reclining than the loss for the person behind. I'm 6'2 and just put my feet underneath the seat. Reclining allows my whole body to be almost straight with my legs stretched all the way almost touching the other person's heels.

It comes off like you're just uncomfortable and want everyone else to be uncomfortable too.

Have probably flown more than most people here and never heard of this before this thread. Been to 58 countries. Never not reclined my seat immediately after takeoff and never had anyone pitch a fit over me reclining my seat but they do ask me to put it up while they eat. The tray table is literally the only issue.

Even when I'm working on my laptop and the person puts their seatback, it pushes my laptop towards closed position but I just take it into my lap instead of complaining.

i'm sure it's a pain for people who are 6'5", 6'6" etc, but this notion that all other passengers shouldn't ever recline their seats makes you people sound like crybabies
