I’m obviously going to watch this but I’m skeptical... Picard/Patrick Stewart is amazing but he’s also ridiculously old. I can’t see how he can have the gravitas he has. But they ended up doing a good job with Discovery so I’ll try to have more faith...

Man I just subscribe for like a month and burn through them. I’m cool with paying $10-15 for an entire season of a show I enjoy. Still cheaper than cable. No, I don’t own it like I would if I spent way more on buying a full season on amazon or dvd, but I can drink and piss $10 worth of beer in like 45 minutes, so whatevs.

I resisted subscribing but then I decided to try Discovery and now I am hooked. They can't pull the stuff they are doing on the subscription service on public access television. They are competing with HBO and the other cable networks with the quality and content of the new shows. I binged two seasons of Discovery and was amazed at how good (and dark) it was. I am now into the Twilight zone. I will likely unsubscribe next month and wait for the new season.

I rewatched Voyager recently and beyond their very obvious attempt to focus on her physical attributes, she did a phenomenal job as 7 of 9. I think she was underrated for her portrayal because of her physique.

Definitely pleased to see her back in the Trek universe.

I just can't get into Discovery. I have tried so many times. I like Saru, mainly because Doug Jones is usually fantastic in just about any role he plays. The other characters are just...........blah.

So one thing that kind of stood out to me was that Daj just kinda walked up to Picard when he was hanging out on his farm. He's a pretty famous guy. He has saved Earth/humanity a number of times in his career and in this universe ranks up there with Napoleon, Lord Nelson, General Patton, Cap Kirk, etc. as one of the greatest leaders in history.

So can anyone just look up where he lives and take a transporter there? Then just take advantage of the kindness of an old man?
