Did the lion smell her menses?

I made the mistake of reading the comments on a story about this.

Yea love the comments section. I've been to this place a couple of times and it is a very nice place that rescues animals. Most of the comments were bitching about them shooting the lion and they should have just tranquilized it (they tried that) or just let it eat the girl. WTF. Also the comments about zoo's being immoral and release them to the wild, these animals were born in captivity so unfortunately they would not make it in the wild. A coworker actually sponsors a smaller animal (binturong I think) out there so I hope this doesn't cause them to close.

no one will insure this place going forward. RIP to this facility.

^^The PETA types are always a little wacky. The NC Zoo and Carolina Tiger Rescue are the same type of setup. They only house rescue animals that don't know how to live in the wild.

You can't really compare the NC Zoo with places like this or the tiger rescue.]

Carolina Tiger Rescue offers volunteer days for tiger fans, especially Clemson alumni. I was seriously considering going there before. Fortunately I didn't make up my mind.

You were seriously considering going to Clemson?-]

^^^I know, but my point is they don't go capture animals in the wild to house in the zoo. They take in animals that can't live in the wild.[Edited on December 31, 2018 at 2:19 PM. Reason : .]

Did they ever find this lady?
1/4/2019 12:53:04 PM
What do you mean find? She was never lost.
1/4/2019 1:42:50 PM
She probably treated the lion as her pet.

Autopsy determined the cause of death was "Mauling by Animal."https://www.southbendtribune.com/news/local/family-of-indiana-woman-killed-in-lion-attack-still-seeks/article_c8ba4b9a-dc40-58c3-9ff1-8cae84e1f178.html

My money was on dysentery.

^I guess there was always a possibility of death by rabies.
2/23/2019 12:28:35 PM
There was?
2/23/2019 12:42:56 PM
Maybe it was ebola
2/23/2019 1:13:04 PM
that rare strain of rabies that kills you instantly by making your body rip apart
