I kept looking because I figured there was a thread on here for this show. Seems very much like that which many of the TWW would enjoy.I'll leave the FPITT without any spoilers, but the show is a solid 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Much to like and little to vent about.

It seemed like there was something missing that I couldn't put my finger on, but I liked it overall even though it relies on cringe moments that give me minor anxiety. And in 2018 tww, you might as well discuss it. Chances of this getting past 1 page are...slim.

I’ll preface by saying i have not watched a single episode...yet. I’ve heard mostly positive reviews, but even within the positive reviews, they mostly say it takes til episode 3 or 4 for it to really turn into a good show, and for a show with hour long episodes, I just haven’t been able to convince myself it’s worth starting just to get over the hump where it gets good yet.
12/21/2018 10:40:06 PM
The first episode had me into it, even though it is mostly character development. Number two I was definitely a fan. I' say by 3 or 4 I was hooked. The cast does a really great job of playing off each other without it seeing forced; each character adds a certain amount of value to the show. I also like that even though it is a drama I still get a number of quality laughs per episode. ****Spoiler****I really liked the ending of this season. It took what was a clear cut path to Kendall winning against his father and how quickly he fucked it up, just like his father always suggested he would. I also really liked how everyone, inside and out, gets how fucked up that family is but it's like the drug they all can't quit.

The 2nd season of this show has been so so good. Really made the slow start of season 1 worth it. The acting on this show is amazing at every character, but Kendall, Shiv and Tom are perfect.
9/10/2019 3:19:23 PM
Tom’s the best.
9/10/2019 11:51:16 PM
This show is amazing. Brian Cox is PERFECT in this role.
9/11/2019 9:05:04 AM
It's crazy that Cox is great but he's barely even in my top 5 performances!
9/11/2019 9:15:41 AM
This show does dinner scenes better than any other show in the history of TV.
9/11/2019 9:36:08 AM
^Sopranos but yeah they're really good.
9/11/2019 10:05:31 AM
Just so so good

Chills. Guessed it and still, chills. This show is perfect.
10/13/2019 10:14:13 PM
I guess we'll be watching this next.
10/14/2019 2:12:44 PM
Kendall should win all the awards. He actually annoyed me during the first season, but has been great this entire season.
10/14/2019 3:09:38 PM
^ that's KeN.W.A. to you
10/15/2019 4:33:56 PM
*** spoilers ****So, Logan got what he wanted, right? Shareholders want him out...he didn't want to straight up resign, nor did the family want him to....so he banked on Ken turning, which will force him to go out thereby pleasing all external parties as well as set up Kendall to survive and sit in the chair when the dust settles, right? Or was I reading too much into that ending...
10/16/2019 4:19:31 PM
I saw an interview with the writer where that floated that theory, he seemed surprised but pleased. Wouldn't really say what he intended.I think the more common reading is the more obvious one, that Kendall finally lived up to his expectationsHere we gohttps://www.vulture.com/2019/10/succession-season-2-finale-jesse-armstrong.html
10/16/2019 5:47:12 PM
I’m a few episodes in to the first season, and all the main characters seem to be a variation on the same basic personality type... it’s kinda weird...
10/20/2019 4:35:29 AM
it's almost as though they're all children of logan roy
10/20/2019 12:20:36 PM
Kendall is a worse Keanu Reeves
10/21/2019 7:22:29 AM
LOL. So true. My imitation of season 1 Ken:
10/21/2019 2:27:34 PM
That reminds me of this "eveyone wants Logans M&Ms," pretty greathttps://twitter.com/Buncahn/status/1183446961023676416?s=19

Just finished season 1. This show makes me want to start canvassing for Bernie Sanders
10/21/2019 8:53:11 PM
I’m liking the humor in season 2. Balances out the anger the show instills.
10/23/2019 12:00:01 AM
I would so let Shiv use me.
10/26/2019 6:29:21 PM
um, eww

they’re all awful, but I can’t imagine pulling for Kendall this season[Edited on October 31, 2021 at 9:15 PM. Reason : .]
10/31/2021 9:15:12 PM
What makes him so cringe worthy is that he wants to relate to everyone but his life experience is so far removed from him that the more "real" he tries to be the more phony and intolerable he becomes. This isn't a criticism of the shows writers as I'm sure this is intentional, so by that standard his character is done well. But fucking A it makes it hard to watch him speak to people.
11/2/2021 11:40:04 AM
Luckily cousin Greg is a joy to watch
11/2/2021 1:23:02 PM
#TeamGreg

so that was a bit on an episode
12/6/2021 2:53:52 PM
my theory is Kendall is going to go nuclear and reveal his dad helped him cover up the death of the service worker.[Edited on December 8, 2021 at 1:06 AM. Reason : ]
12/8/2021 1:06:25 AM
SPOILERSIf he isn't dead that's really the only way to salvage his character. I also wouldn't be surprised if he is just dead. On the Bill Simmons podcast, he suggested there are some signs (New yorker profile of Jeremy Strong having tidbits from coworkers about how difficult he is to work with) to point to his character being written off.
12/8/2021 2:13:33 PM
The show becomes quite a bit less interesting without him, imo, at least on paper. Roman and Shiv are just less interesting to me.
12/8/2021 3:05:53 PM
I agree. The relationship between Logan and Kendall is by far the best part of the show. Second is Tom/Shiv. Both of the relationships have moments that absolutely hit the nail on the head with the tension.
12/9/2021 11:04:09 AM
Brutal
12/12/2021 10:24:07 PM
SPOILERThe only play left is for Kendall to implicate Logan in the cover up of the death of the waiter.
12/13/2021 1:29:40 PM
*******************SPOILERS***************************My money is actually on Greg turning on Tom, implicating Tom's role in the scandal and moving from the bottom of the top to the top of hte top. Greg has seen from this family that their is no loyalty and that doing what suits you is not only the way to succeed, but it is also the only way to carve out more respect for yourself. I believe they've said next season is the last, so we should see things unfold pretty quickly.*******./SPOILERS***********
12/14/2021 9:03:25 AM
^ that’s an interesting take. Greg is a fascinating character. I always thought of him as the audience proxy but making the audience proxy the hero would be a good direction.
12/17/2021 6:13:06 PM
Just finished season 1. I don't want to read through the spoilers above but just came to say that I am late to the party but enjoying it.I know I am supposed to hate them all. but i really hate them all.
3/21/2023 8:24:22 AM
Greg is the audience surrogate so you can't hate Greg, unless....
3/21/2023 10:16:42 AM
Hoping to finish a re-watch for finale
3/26/2023 10:24:14 PM
Last 20 min of season 1 finale is so devastating
3/29/2023 9:42:18 PM
I think they’ve veered away from making Greg the audience surrogate.
