yeah... double post I know but grasping at threads here. Headed to wilmington for work and need to buy or borrow/rent a generator by tomorrow. Sure would appreciate any help/leads.

gas cans that hold >2 gallons are already hard to find whenever i've looked in the past...couple places i went yesterday were sold out or nearly sold out of every gas can.

For gas cans, if you have a spare car, use it as a gas can and siphon from it. Holds a heck of a lot more. Could use your primary car too as long as you're very careful with that you need in the car vs use.

Everyone should have a jiggler for siphoning fuel. Keeps you from sucking on gas fumes.

why are those better than the class bump/hand pump style? does walmart sell them?

they're better than the hand pump because they begin siphoning quicker and more reliably, in my experience. idk about walmart. i think harbor freight has them.

a cheap little 12v fuel pump and a set of leads long enough to reach the battery under the hood is even better.
