They filmed a lot of it in my neighborhood. It was really cool seeing half the street decorated for Halloween in February (and just decorated awesomely in general...we need to step our game up next year).

So I guess we're supposed to forget how H20 ended then? With JLC cutting off Michael's head with an axe. Because that seemed pretty final to me.

This is a direct sequel to the original, the film makers have said that there will be Easter eggs that pay homage to all the others, but no other Halloween sequel is cannon for this one. That’s why they had the line about him not being her brother, which was established in #2 (also there already was a sequel after H20 where he came back)

Interesting that even Halloween 2 is not considered cannon since it took place just a few mins after the first one and still had Jamie Lee Curtis as the protagonist.

And lol at the sequel after H20, that was the one with Busta Rhymes.
