I say NC because charter schools are the norm in certain areas of the country.

My wife is a teacher with 12 yrs experience in K-2, so I've heard about her and her colleagues' "transfers" over the years. It's never positive, in case you're wondering. Her school isn't bougie enough to get Montessori kids, but I always wondered about them as well.

How do these kids are do as adults? Do you know any? Do you have any school stories?

Straight outta school I worked a job that kinda straddled blue collar and white collar type work, and worked with a guy that went to religious (like on the nutty southern baptist end of the spectrum) schools and eventually bible college (he worked part-time at a church too). He was not a dumb dude by any means and was on his way to becoming a project manager BUT first the company wanted him to take some remedial classes at the community college:

Me: oh yea? What do they have you taking?
Him: Algebra 1
Me: *jaw hits floor*
Him: yea, I never really had to take it back in school.

That being said I also know some folks that were homeschooled/religious schooled their entire lives and are now relatively important liberal arts professors at pretty decent colleges or doing well at a sales job and a commercial airplane pilot, etc. So there are a ton of factors that can affect outcomes (obviously).
