I say NC because charter schools are the norm in certain areas of the country. My wife is a teacher with 12 yrs experience in K-2, so I've heard about her and her colleagues' "transfers" over the years. It's never positive, in case you're wondering. Her school isn't bougie enough to get Montessori kids, but I always wondered about them as well. How do these kids are do as adults? Do you know any? Do you have any school stories?

Charter schools are the worst.

Straight outta school I worked a job that kinda straddled blue collar and white collar type work, and worked with a guy that went to religious (like on the nutty southern baptist end of the spectrum) schools and eventually bible college (he worked part-time at a church too). He was not a dumb dude by any means and was on his way to becoming a project manager BUT first the company wanted him to take some remedial classes at the community college:Me: oh yea? What do they have you taking?Him: Algebra 1Me: *jaw hits floor*Him: yea, I never really had to take it back in school. That being said I also know some folks that were homeschooled/religious schooled their entire lives and are now relatively important liberal arts professors at pretty decent colleges or doing well at a sales job and a commercial airplane pilot, etc. So there are a ton of factors that can affect outcomes (obviously).
