So far The Orville is the only new show I am watching. Might check out Ghosted and The Gifted but we shall see.

+1 to trying Ghosted and Gifted.

Also need to get into/caught up on Orville.

Star Trek interests me, but I'm not paying for a CBS streaming service, fuck that.

Anyone know what those new SyFy shows are about?

They basically showed the first episode of The Gifted at Comic-Con SD this year, I liked what I saw and plan on at least recording the first few episodes.

Orville is solid so far. Will likely check out at least a few of the new comedies as well to see if anything sticks.

SyFy is dead to me until Con-Man starts up(or Tremors at the latest), still disappointed they dropped Dark Matter.

They dropped Dark Matter? Well, shit. Liked that one, was looking to forward to binging S3 now that it's up on Netflix.

^Yeah there was a big twitter movement trying to swell interest in Dark Matter after it was dropped by SyFy to get some other channel/network to pick them up, but per the show runner the last option fell apart last week. I know they approached some streaming services like Netflix to see if they would pick them up for a mini-series.

Caught their panel and autograph session at SDCC and they were all really cool and the tidbits they were offering up for the future of the show sounded really cool. Was fairly disappointed it got dropped as it actually had decent ratings for a SyFy show on Friday nights. They were actually polling the fans at the panel pitching some ideas and getting feedback on the direction to take the show. Sounds like the show runner is going to try and wrap the series up in comic form to give some closure to fans.

I'm going to check out this show Tin Star on Amazon, starring Timothy Roth and Christina Hendricks, which starts 9/29.

I got the vibe that it was basically The Unit minus Dennis Haysbert.

I will be checking it out on DVR tho.

Just watched EP1 of Ghosted. It’s funnier and better than I thought it would be.

Episode 1 of Gifted was waaay better than I thought it would be, looking forward to watching ep 2. I feel like the special effects and whole look really put similar genre shows like agents of shield to shame.

Seal Team is okay, the Unit was a good comparison. 5he Brave is too cheesy, I deleted it from Sonarr

The hot blonde in The Gifted played Silver St Cloud in a couple of episodes of Gotham. The more you know.

I'm liking Seal Team, it makes a good replacement for The Unit

it seems to be loosely based on No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama Bin Laden (except for the bin laden mission), or at least the author was involved as an adviser to give input on DEVGRU. The book has a lot of the same anecdotes and details, and the missions are very similar to some of the missions in the book.

There is one problem with the show that is driving me crazy: it's about east coast seals based in virginia beach but all of their training scenes are so obviously southern california. they should have tried to find locations that at least look a little bit like the east coast or just make it a west coast seal time. it's not just a background detail, they keep mentioning the location.

The Brave and Valor just got removed from my Sonarr list
