If I give a couple a bed for the night, I assume there will be sex. I further assume that it will not be something ridiculous that will make a mess.
I subscribe to the same etiquette when staying at a friend's house with my wife, provided they didn't loan us their kid's bed.. b/c that's weird.

I wouldn't really care what they did in my guest room. I'm going to change/wash the sheets anyway.

In a situation where I had a second home like a beach house and I let a couple use it for the weekend without me there, I wouldn't want them doing shit in my master bedroom. Same goes if it's any of my family's house and it was like my parent's room.

Guest room only, basically.

I did it in my bosses bedroom when we were watching his dogs while house & petsitting while they were on vacation. Additionally did it in my friends house once after a pretty serious night of drinking. He passed out downstairs so we had the upstairs to ourselves. Only two times though as far as I recall, and those were both years ago.

As normal human being, I put sheets into the washing machine with my bare hands. I don't wear gloves. I don't use tongs. Balled-up sheets being largely amorphous, it's likely that anything on them will get spread from one part to another. There is always a chance. And I'd rather not take that chance if I can help it.

Well hey, let's not get crazy. Realistically, if we're not talking a disturbance on a level at which my neighbors call the cops, I'm just gonna tell one of my guests that wasn't cool the next morning and ask him or her to either not be a dick next time or find somewhere else to stay.
