Cracker Barrel not good enough for you? For a $7-9 meal, it's pretty fucking good. I usually get the grilled chicken tenderloins or grilled rainbow trout.

Who in here talkin shit about Cracker Barrel?

I've started family fights and pitched fits all up and down the east coast...but never in a Cracker Barrel.

Cracker Barrel is an oasis. It has a fire, shit too look at, and unlimited golf tee triangles. Plus, they got breakfast all day if you don't feel like fried chicken with mashed potatoes.

Just order me the Sunrise Sampler and don't touch my fried apples while I'm in the restroom. Otherwise, I'ma have to start my first Cracker Barrel fight.

I used to love going there during our annual summer drive to Atlanta when I was a kid because there weren't any close to where we lived. It was such a treat. I think I've gone once since with my parents.

yeah, the reason folks stop at cracker barrel is that it's reasonably tasty and it's reliable. you know the place will at least be clean and the food and service will be acceptable. and they're right there on the interstate. when you're just passing through some unfamiliar area, you don't want to take a risk on the local greasy spoon joint.

sure, if you're more familiar with an area you can find much better food, but if you're on the interstate and just want to get out and stretch your legs and grab a quick meal and get back on the road, cracker barrel is about as good as it gets.

probably oblivious as kids....as kids a buffet is a fucking wonderland even if the food is not good. you're a kid, you don't give a fuck if it actually is quality food. you can get pizza and fried shrimp and spaghetti and broccoli with cheese all over it and mac and cheese and then go back and get more and then you get to go make a dessert where you can pull the handle on the ice cream yourself and dump also sorts of toppings on it too.

This is us. I think the only time I've been to the local Cracker Barrel was for lunch a couple of times with a work group. But on road trips, this is our go-to place to stop and eat.
