Gonna be fun to watch Pep, Alexis Sanchez and Kyle Walker celebrate lifting the trophy next year.

Quiet excited at the prospect of CL and us being in Pot 2 is going to lead to hopefully a favorable draw. Can get much better players now too.

Jose gets a pass for this season despite the league finish and I know a lot of you haters are going to bang on and on about how United don't deserve being in Pot 2 because of the league finish but say what you want I am happy with Jose. Finishing 6th is unacceptable but I can understand how it happened and despite the early draws I am optimistic.

Jose has changed the team mentality and now it is a question of finding goals within this team. We need a clinical finisher (Griezmann hopefully) and a dominant CB to pair with Bailly and I would expect a title challenge. Jose gets a pass but this won't fly again next year. The win yesterday was only worthy because of what it could potentially mean for our future but thats it.

I don't believe for a second Arsenal bid this. But how much would he be worth? More than Bale was?

Isn't that lower than two other teams have bid?

Allows Wenger to say I tried or we almost signed him and get another two year extension.

He was impressive in the champions league knockouts (the only games I watched of his). Right now probably not worth what Bale went for but will be so if you want him you're going to have to pay.

Arsenal and Wenger are too risk averse to seriously bid that. Its just a ploy to say oh look we tried but he rejected us. Also placates the reports that Ozil and Sanchez want to see who Arsenal sign before committing. At the end of the transfer window they will have to settle for an unknown kid they got for like 10 million who may or may not turn out to be a good player within 3 years but certainly not someone they need to get them back to the top 4 next year.

I respect Wenger but him signing a two year contract without the board actually backing him in the transfer market is just an all around bad decision for Arsenal. Unless they are actually going to go out and pay over the top for players (which they will have to with the Europa league) they are going to stagnate without a proper playmaker/goal scorer. Especially if Sanchez leaves.

Been seeing rumors of Luke Shaw to Spurs? Would be a solid pickup, I've always been convinced of his abilities and Mourinho just didn't know how to use him. I think Poch has a better track record with youth anyway.

I love the presumption in these grandiose statements based on tabloid headlines. You mean the Mourinho that challenged Shaw to be better and pushed him to recover from a horrible injury? Then gave him a chance before he unfortunately went down due to another injury?

Then again I am sure you were also on the bandwagon that said "Mata is going to get sold for sure and Mourinho has failed with Mikhitaryan and Martial after 2 months."

Feel bad for Tiote, sad end.

Scousers are an embarrassing bunch. Agreed to overpay for a good defender and he actually wanted to join them and they find a way to fuck it up regardless. Can't help but laugh at the stupidity.

Guess we'll just move to illegal streams like they do in England.

NBC streaming on a computer was terrible anyway.

I get that it wasn't going to be all that content for "free" forever. However the part that really stings is that you need a cable subscription in addition to streaming through the app to have access to every game since TV games won't be on the app now.

If we're going to pay the money, at least give open access to the previous standard the last few years

Keita is the African Kante. Would be good signing for Liverpool.

And Ornnsstteeeeiiinnn just tweeted Arsenal are gonna get Lacazette, which is great. At least for me on FIFA 18 it will be.

Sounds like he's good player, but how many people heard of him before the start of last season and now they're about to pay 70M. Seems a tad bit steep considering they've still got to rebuild that back line.

Ton of people have spoken highly of him the last few seasons as the next big star. He's only 22 man.

Teams that want to win championships buy their main target without fucking around on the price or settling for 3rd/4th options. Look at teams like City, Chelsea, Real, Bayern, hell even United. It's about time Liverpool takes that next step or they're going to be stuck in that middle tier for eternity like Everton. That's what has fucked Arsenal the last few seasons too. Trying to find "value" when they don't necessarily need to.

Not worried about the price either considering some of the dead weight they still have to get rid of (Lucas, Sakho, Markovic, Moreno) will probably return them 50-60M.

^ Thats if they are actually willing to sell.

Turned down 11mil for Moreno, holding out for 15.... yea right.

Turned down whatever Palace offered for Sakho cause they value him at 30mil... (I agree with the value, but he isn't going to play for Klopp, so whats your other option, keep loaning him out till he walks for free?)

I get that you don't want to just give players away, but for fucks sake, clear them out already. Cut your loses and move on. If I have to look at Morenos stupid face in a Liverpool jersey next year, Im gonna be pissed.

I know it isn't a premier league game, but anyone else going to see Spurs vs. Man City in Nashville next weekend for International Champions Cup? I know it is just an exhibition match and will prob be mostly the B-teams but I'm hoping to see at least 1 or 2 stars.

If the stars are on the tour they will play, probably just a half or less. I saw Chelsea-PSG in Charlotte a couple years ago and pretty much every big player played. But it was an exhibition so it lacked the intensity of a real game.

^^ I'll be there. I think they'll play a mix. Considering it's the next to last preseason match for the club I'd expect to see a decent lineup for at least a half.
