That trailer was fucking awesome

Surprised they didn't say "whoops Iron Fist had a heart attack and his powers transferred to this Asian guy"
5/3/2017 9:57:12 AM
Yeah, I'm hoping they can fix some of the iron fist issues from his solo series

I think the biggest issue with the Iron Fist standalone series was that it was obvious they were rushing it out so they could get on with the Defenders. So hopefully that means he'll be better in this iteration.

I was listening to a review of all the series so far and they talked about DD having the best fight scenes. They said the reason very well could be because he's the only one in a mask, allowing for better stunt double cuts. My guess is they'll put Danny Rand in a mask pretty quickly to up his skill.

^Another thought is that Daredevil doesn't have super strength. JJ and Luke Cage can just smack people around without really thinking about it. Daredevil can get his ass kicked easily if he isn't fighting right. But then again, Iron Fist should have the best fights by that logic...

"How come you can't be hurt?""What's the deal with that fist?"WRITING!

^^Yeah, I think JJ and Cage are fine with what they do, but they'll put Iron Fist in a mask so they can put a real fighter in for his action scenes.

This whole time I thought The Defenders was going to be a movie.

I really liked their use of The Punisher. Definitely worth the extra trailer teasing it.

This was just ok. Nothing great, just eh.It does confirm the iron fist character is garbage, the actor is terrible, and the writers have no idea how to handle that character.

The lack of any mention of the Avengers...any of them, is starting to get to me. With Danny's wealth and resources, he could easily reach out to fellow billionaire Tony Stark. It would be nice to at least see him turn them down when they ask for help.

I haven't watched yet, and I'm not expecting much, but I'm still excited for it.

I'm through 3 episodes now and I'm more pleased than I thought I'd be based on the reactions here. I liked the pacing/slow build up of getting the team together. I wish they had waited to bring out the enemies though. I get that Elektra has to be there, but I feel like Sigourney Weaver and Madam Gao could have shown up later. Other than Danny discovering just how privileged he is (despite flying back from Cambodia in a private jet), I've liked each character's continued development from their previous series. DD and LC especially trying to figure out their new place in the world has been interesting character building.

Just finished it, didn't dislike it, but overall...meh

I'm on the last episode. I mean, it's certainly not bad like Iron Fist, but at no point is it great
8/23/2017 9:49:36 PM
It was alright. Iron Fist is trash. The character's one-dimensional, and the actor can't act. I'm not exactly sure of the "power levels" of the various folks, but he seems to be the weakest of all of them. It's like his training at a monastery for a large portion of his life didn't actually help him. I'd like to see them explore more creative ways of him using, "My first gets hard and glows."

I feel like I'm only watching this to finish or find out more about the characters' storylines. There certainly isn't much enjoyment in it.

Finally got around to watching this. Kinda meh. Iron Fist is definitely the weakest link. He barely uses his superpower. I get that he is supposed to be a super badass martial artist but I feel like he barely even stands out against Daredevil. There were definitely a handful of times when his fist would have come in handy (pun intended) but he didn't even bother. Which is interesting considering how often he reminds everyone that he is the immortal Iron Fist, protector of Kun-Lun and all that lovely stuff. One thought I had though -- So the hand is a secret shadow organization that is focused on running the world from behind the scenes using people with special powers. So uh... how does Hydra feel about that? Or SHIELD? You'd think they would have encountered each other at some point considering the Hand has been around for thousands of years and Hydra only really started up around WWII with Red Skull. Also, it looks like the Hand's purpose is mostly just to keep a handful (pun intended) of old people alive forever and eventually get them back into Kun-Lun. Why do they have to be evil for that? With 1000s of years of knowledge and wisdom, you'd think they'd just be able to achieve a ton of goals through business practices and stuff.

Hydra is older then WWII, pretty ancient actually. Agents of SHIELD went deeper into that. Hydra just infiltrated the Nazi party the same way it did SHIELD and everywhere else it popped up.
10/16/2017 9:20:08 PM
^That means interaction between Hydra and the Hand is even more likely. I just find it weird that two ancient secret evil organizations have been in operation for centuries without knowing about each other when they are so similar.
