All I want is a game where if I shoot someone 4 times in the chest with a handgun, they die like any reasonable person would expect. I hate FPS games where it takes 20 hits to kill anything.

How are the recent COD's map level designs? The last COD I played was ghost and they completely abandoned their 3 lane map design. Made holding a map with a team completely impossible.

WW1 is now dominated by Battlefield

Anything installment further into the future and they become a true Halo or Titanfall clone.

I'm getting so sick of these AAA FPS titles forgetting what made their initial hits good, and constantly feeling like they have to copy other elements from the competition.

You don't need COD loadouts in Halo, you don't need Titanfall wall-running or Battlefield squads in COD. When fans said they want to go back to WW2, they mean go back to old WW2 COD. Not necessarily because fans liked W@W, but because fans hate the direction these new dog-shit CODs have gone in.

i don't mind the idea of having a teammate revive you. I remember BLOPS 2, I never had any trouble being revived by a teammate whenever i was running Last Man Standing(i think).

Second Chance in World at War worked fine imo.

That quote about squad healing though sounds completely different. Regenerating health in COD never really mattered to begin with. I'm not talking hardcore game modes either... COD gameplay is essentially whoever-sees-who-first-wins 90% of the time, whether you have 100% health or 1% health.

For them to implement a meaningful squad healing mechanic would mean players would have to be able to take a lot of damage, which doesn't work with cod.

Unless that quote only applies to campaign/co-op, which I hope it does.

Has anyone experienced any lag/issues with the actual Main Menu of the game? I can not select anything other than campaign 9/10 times. On the one time I get lucky and can select Multiplayer or Zombies I can not enter into the game mode. With the Campaign selection once I get into the Campaign menu that portion of the game functions properly.

My copy arrived yesterday and I played for a few hours last night (just regular TDM) and had a pretty good time. I enjoyed not having to worry about people flying through the air or running on walls and shit like that

I’ve been enjoying the perk where steaks don’t end when you die, but they cost more and you only can get them once. A lot of the time I’ll get all 3 of mine (but I don’t have any really high ones unlocked yet), and I would rarely have been able to get many more than once anyways if I didn’t have the perk on.

Anyone play this new gametype "Prop Hunt?" Premise is stupid but it's actually pretty fun and has been hilarious while playing with friends.

On defense you and your teammates spawn as objects that can be found in that particular map (chair, tree, barrel, etc.). You are given 30 seconds to all go "hide." Then the offense spawns as dudes with SMG's + unlimited ammo. They have to hunt and shoot you. You can move around, set up to (3) decoys, and you can switch to a different object twice if you choose. Every 30 seconds or so everyone still "alive" on defense whistles to give the offense some spacial clues. Rounds are timed, then switch sides. The most absurd idea, but somehow it kinda works.
