I have a 5 year supply of Mike & Ikes.
4/3/2017 11:01:21 PM
i know where to get a 5 year supply of Mike & Ikes.
4/3/2017 11:38:27 PM
I have a 10 year supply of money if shit hits the fan.
4/3/2017 11:48:41 PM
I've got about 20 decks of cards for the inevitable boredom to come.
4/4/2017 12:09:21 AM
I have a solar USB charger, so your iPhone will still work during the end times
4/4/2017 12:13:51 AM
I mean, I got a generator to keep muh beer cold and 8 one-gallon jugs of water to flush muh poop down.

I've got a co-worker who lives in JoCo on a several acre plot of land. He's got a shipping container buried on his property which is converted into a prepper bunker. He's one of the "Obama is going to take our guns" people, and his bunker has hundreds of weapons and enough ammunition to start his own militia. Thing is, he's actually one of the most genuinely nice people Ive known. He's a little crazy when it comes to politics, but if you sat down with him and had a few beers and politics never came up, he's otherwise an intelligent, interesting person.
4/4/2017 9:44:12 AM
I've got some camping supplies... my Sawyer mini water filter can clean up to 100,000 gallons of water!
4/4/2017 9:44:49 AM
^^ Also, a shipping container isn't much of a bunker.
4/4/2017 9:51:43 AM
Is Obama still taking his guns or nah?
4/4/2017 10:19:50 AM
i have 20 gallons of water and plenty of canned food that i rotate occasionally. I have other things that would be helpful (flashlights, candles, first aid kit, copies of important documents and cash in a fire safe, etc..) but the water and canned food are the only thing I have for the sole purpose of being prepared. I don't think the world is going to end, but i want to be prepared for an extended power outage or interruption to water supply. The water is in 4 5-gallon containers like you get for water coolers, I want to store more water but I can't figure out a sane way to do it.
4/4/2017 11:52:20 AM
I have one of those bathtub bags that you can fill in the event of some shit going down.I also made one of those water filter/distiller things with two water bottles and a straw. I just keep that in a closet at the ready.[Edited on April 4, 2017 at 12:11 PM. Reason : 300 gallons, y'all]
4/4/2017 12:05:21 PM
i had one of those but trashed it, you usually aren't going to know ahead of time if there is a major water supply issue
4/4/2017 12:30:15 PM
i ain't got shit. it's all i can do to not lose my flashlights.
4/4/2017 12:31:20 PM
My plan is to run into someone else's bunker, and lock the door behind me
4/4/2017 1:34:55 PM
When society collapses, I've got more than enough ammo on hand to put one in my dome.
4/4/2017 1:42:41 PM
^4bruh...rule #1 of prepping...it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. i'd rather be wrong when filling it up than right and not have it available to fill up. #PrepperParanoia[Edited on April 4, 2017 at 1:44 PM. Reason : ]

wheat, beans, rice in 5 gallon containers - enough for a few months for the whole fam.Need to get a generator still, because we have a well... gotta power it somehow ... maybe a solar power option for the well would be a better purchase.my pond has plenty of fish to eat, cross bow and guns/ammo to keep me hunting strong for a long time, water stored in the basement, wood stove for staying warm, 13 chickens for eggs/meat.Doing ok at this point, but I want to buy some land within 30 minutes of west cary where I can go bug out and live in a cabin (and hunt/fish/mess around for recreation if I never see the end of the world come). I think I need something thats cheap enough (floodplain) but not swampy but also has a couple of building spots possible.

^da fuck? why wouldn't gravity / already existing pressure just fill the bag? also, what if you did know in advance (hurricane, perhaps?)filtration / distillation is an option. no shit, other things could happen with the water. I don't suppose you have an anti-radiation suit too, do you? because that could happen. I was just saying what I have, not saying that what I have is going to prepare me for every imaginable disaster scenario predictable or not. ffsI also have 6 chickens for eggs / meat and a dog for meat if it comes down to it.
4/4/2017 4:41:08 PM
If the water is contaminated the pressure isn't the issue, and water can be contaminated in ways that your filtration won't help. You are at work, find out that there is a do not use warning and by the time you get to the store there is no more water. You can't go back in time and fill your tub with good water, and you can't use the water from the tap. what do you do?Just recently in Chapel Hill the water was undrinkable because of flouride with no notice, its not a crazy situation to plan for.And yes, with some storms we have warnings. When was the last time you filled your tub though for a storm? You should at least get a few gallon jugs of water so you at least have a day on hand and ready[Edited on April 4, 2017 at 4:49 PM. I keep water so i can flush my shit if the power goes out. Dang well.

i revise my previous answer.i live on a farm. i don't actively do any prepping. but we've got chickens and goats. i could grow some shit and have the equipment to do so. but i don't have any kinda stock of food, supplies other than what's pretty average for an operational farm to have on hand. but if shit went down...yeah we got plenty of fertilizer to use, diesel, ponds with fish, greenhouses, tractors, etc...and the knowledge of how to grow things which is useful.
4/4/2017 5:04:37 PM
Yeah but you don't have buckets of uncontaminated water so you're boned.
4/4/2017 6:02:01 PM
tbh, i don't think i wanna survive any kinda near apocalyptic or anything close to it. and i know prepping isn't limited to that.
4/4/2017 6:15:15 PM
I'm not telling y'all what I have. I plan to keep it all for myself and my family. Fuck telling y'all and y'all come running to me when the zombies attack!
4/4/2017 8:50:56 PM
Living in the city limits my options somewhat. What prepping I'm capable of has to fall into two categories:1) Short-term power-outage type stuff, basically what the Red Cross would recommend. Flashlights stashed all over the house, a few gallon jugs of water, plus a portion of...2) Supplies to get us to the family homestead in NC, which is fairly well-apportioned for longer-term problem scenarios. Got one go bag in the car and another inside the apartment, each containing food and medical/first aid supplies I bought piecemeal to get a better balance than I was seeing in most pre-made kits. My main worry with these is that the food is selected more for dietary balance than raw calorie density. That's great if we're sheltering in place, but it's not ideal for travel on foot. Then again, if the situation is so bad that we have to walk from DC to NC, a backpack full of energy bars probably isn't going to make the difference. And actually, I take that back. My main worry is that I don't have my gun, partly because of strict local laws, and partly because of a fiancee who hasn't quite been brought around to the advantages of keeping one in the house.
4/4/2017 10:00:17 PM
I think your gf is pretty smart, given that for too many women, one of the main advantages of having a gun in the house is getting shot with it.
4/5/2017 3:00:39 PM
hide yo kids guns
4/5/2017 4:29:40 PM
I have a shot gun in my house, but it's not loaded....so I'm fairly certain it won't wake up 8n yhe middle of the night and shoot me
4/5/2017 7:18:16 PM
I've got a vagina and that's really all I need.
4/5/2017 7:44:06 PM
Gotta agree.having a warm cock pocket is worth like, 20,000 .22LR rounds.NO WALMART CURRENTLY STOCKS THATCURRENTLYGet it while it's hot, guys. And omg it's so warm and it wants to suck on you so hard but not too hard.Just warm enough to be hot
4/5/2017 7:54:02 PM
4/5/2017 9:39:38 PM
I bought a house with a stream in my backyard so if for some reason city water was unavailable, i should be able to easily filter/boil the stream water
4/6/2017 1:38:06 AM
I've got knives. And guns. And rice.
4/8/2017 9:37:33 AM
Bttt, the end is near
12/19/2018 2:16:16 AM
I did get one of those water filters like you use on long hiking/camping trips. Figured I would at least never have to worry about dying of thirst in some natural disaster.
12/19/2018 7:46:18 AM
i reorganized my garage and made a shelf so now I have 40 gallons of water. i also inherited a small tri-fuel generator that i'm going to connect to my natural gas and have a small solar panel and battery bank
