It's a pretty great citywhat do you need to know?

It's just a couple hours from Grand targhee and Jackson hole, so that's pretty cool. I know nothing else. Idaho is a great state in general (I live in Boise)

It's pretty nice. Great access to the Tetons/Yellowstone and the Snake River is right there. It does have a heavy LDS population and Idaho is definitely an acquired taste as a place to live though. It's going to be a huge change of pace coming from Seattle.

So I actually ended up interviewing for this job. Just waiting to find out if they offer. Also interviewing for a Solar Power gig in Austin, TX and a Instructor position at Entergy in Mississippi.

Austin, TX or Anywhere, Mississippi.......hope you get Austin, friend.

The Austin gig fail through (apparently, I met all their wickets, but they chose to go another route[Operations, training, and procedure writing])...quite unfortunate as my best friend lives there and I have heard many good things about that place. Oh well, Mississippi is my #1 job because it is in my field of work and supports my degree.

So I ended up taking the Idaho gig.Closer to the in laws and pay was pretty nice for the cost of living.Been here a month and I like it so far. LDS hasn’t really bothered me much beyond the fact that damn near everything is closed on Sunday. HaHaven’t hit winter yet, so we will see for sure!

they won't bother you. it's a very "live and let live" mindset out here. religion rarely comes upget the jacket a gloves ready this weekend. should be bitter with the wind

we had a pretty mild winter. did you guys have any issues? I just took my snow tires off today.the Riverwalk and Snake River Landing will be greening up soon -- have you been able to get to know the downtown/riverside area yet?I'm always curious to hear feedback from other transplants

It wasnt too bad. my wife complained about the weather, but I didnt think it was too bad. Wind was a bitch, but you get used to it.we havent really got down to that area. We went to Jackson Hole a while ago, and are heading up to Twin Falls and Boise for Soccer tournaments coming up, so we will be getting around the area a lot. the weather is finally getting to the 60s, so that is awesome!i love the relaxed environment of the area and my job! ha
