Yep my kids will be out of school next Wednesday.

It has been interesting seeing the responses of my friends on social media. Obviously our friends in Chapel Hill/Carrboro are very happy about this, and some teachers I know in Wake County are calling in sick as well and hoping for a similar outcome, although I doubt it. On the other hand I used to work for Roanoke Rapids City Schools and posts from my teacher friends there are all mostly shocked and dismayed. Many feel that they are not being responsible teachers in CHCCS by doing this and they would personally never participate in something like this.

Ironically my wife may have to miss her education and going to school because our kids cannot go to school. Hopefully I can get the day off instead and stay home and play games with the boys all day.
