The obvious solution is to not get addicted to opioids

Or like, prescribe a non-opioid pain killer that's not ridiculously addictive

Most drugs that actually do something are habit-forming to some segment that takes it. All them people out there with cirrhosis from fucking Tylenol can demonstrate that.

opium and booze are just about the only things that actually work as pain killers.
I mean yeah aspirin with caffeine is dynamite for headaches, but that's not a normal pain receptor response cycle.

Numbing agents or surgeries that kill nerve pathways exist. But tylenol.. it's pretty much a fake drug and kills more livers than pain.

But yeah. Colace and if you're REALLY clogged, prune juice with warm milk of magnesia. Beware and be close to the toilet

Alcohol is way up there in addictive substances but is legal with age while opoids require a medical prescription to legally consume.

Why?

I'm gonna make a serious post in this thread. When I had my appendix out they gave me stool softener to help me poop better. Well here I am, 4 months later, and I'm STILL constipated all the time. It's driving me insane. I mean I stopped taking the pain medicine probably two days after I got home, but my innards are still all screwed up.

Because the national capital is on the east coast and east coast business we're bigger into alcohol than marijuana and pharmaceuticals ^^

^ serious response. Constipation, especially severe constipation can stretch the bowel and impair nervous activity in the gut. I.E. the stretched bowel will eventually stop registering the need to poop. It takes months for the bowel to repair these connections and receptors. It's really important to take your stool softeners and motility agents or ear your Metamucil everyday or you can stay constipated for a long time until your body repairs your normal reflexes

Well shit...I'm going to the doctor on Monday, I'll ask her to prescribe me more softener. I'm all out!

to be fair, you don't really need prescription softener. if you came to see me I'd just tell you to get OTC colace, but I think it's a good idea to talk to your doctor to see if there's anything they want to do about it imaging wise (I doubt it)

You all are supposed to own latex gloves. You are supposed to use whatever you can to combat your problem.

If you can't figure your own shit out, it's on you.

None of you understand anything. You all fucking suck.
