shouldn't have been a foul on DSJ...but that's not a "cheap shot" like the video title says

I'm not clicking the link, but if this is referring to the shot that Smith took against BC, the refs got it right. Smith was in that guy's "cylinder" aka the space the other guy was entitled to.

I figured they meant the Boston College player was in his eye cylinder... It's only a 2 min clip with a slow-mo repeat at the end. It just shows what happened.I called it a cheap shot because Smith was right in-front of Robinson defending, it's not like Smith ran up and he didn't see him like we see happen under the basket. He shouldn't be able to flail his elbows out like that when he is just dribbling the ball and Smith is guarding him one-on-one.Plz to embed...[Edited on January 13, 2017 at 4:53 PM. Reason : _]

The guy with the ball is entitled to that space. They could have called a foul earlier on smith, but they didn't.

So one of the best point guards recruited at NC State in the last 40 years (2nd Wolfpack with Triple-D and it wasn't a shit team like Hodge either) deserved that shot to the face that could have caused a concussion or permanent eye damage? This is basketball. Swinging high elbows has always been a dirty move and used to be called.IF they are calling flagrant fouls for tripping, an elbow to the eye socket should be a candidate next year.[Edited on January 13, 2017 at 6:24 PM. PLZ TO EMBED OH GREAT ONES

It wasn't a dirty play. Smith was all over him. His head was above the BC guy's thigh. He is allowed to do what he did. He wasn't "flailing his elbows" or "swinging high elbows". I mean just look at the video. His elbows aren't out. Smith got in the dudes space and paid the price for it.[Edited on January 13, 2017 at 7:26 PM. Reason : I'm not embedding because you're dumb.]
