Cormac McCarthy - Outer Dark and The Road, people usually go for Blood Meridian first and it's great but those two are quick reads to get you started.

Really, really enjoying these Dunk and Egg novellas. I really hope he puts out more - I've seen him say he's planning 6+ more. It's nice to have a nice focused, simple plot. I also bought the graphic novels but haven't read them yet.

how are you liking the Maze Runner trilogy? it's a shame that the second movie completely butchered the book. I feel like if they made it just a little more serious in tone and if they had stuck with the actual maze and figuring that out for a while longer it would have been a stronger series.

I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm kind of a sucker for sci-fi dystopia. I watched the first movie a few months ago and decided to check the books out then.

haha I'm a total sucker for dystopian stuff too and found the books after seeing the first movie. I was betting that the books would be done a lot better. Didn't read the prequels - I had enough after Death Cure. The little euphemisms they use for curse words really drove me crazy haha.

I saw part of Divergent the other day and went ahead and got the book set so I'll probably read those sometime this year making the same bet that while the movie was kinda corny, the book is probably better.
