This is not a reboot of the 1999 movie franchise but of the Boris Karloff movie in 1932.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwTFXVdbeEw

Looked pretty good up until it turned into Mission Impossible.

I'm not a big fan of the actor, but I always seem to like the movies he chooses to work on, so I'll definitely give this one a shot.

Bold choice to go with a CGI Tom Cruise.

I actually liked it up until the CGI London devastation bit. It has a pretty solid cast and seems to be shot beautifully, so I'll remain optimistic.

I'm just happy that the chick from Peaky Blinders is getting some major work. And fuck it...that movie looks fun and Cruise almost never disappoints on these types of flicks.

Apparently Universal is going to use this movie to kick off a series of other "Monster" movies that all take place in the same universe, including Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, etc.

Read the same thing. Apparently they want to reboot a lot of their old classic monsters.

I just don't see a modern audience being into those subjects. Who knows. Disney thought Jack Sparrow and Pirates would be a flop, and it made a lot of money.

So after everyone saw how profitable Marvel was being with the MCU, I guess the next big fad in movies will be to have a cinematic universe.
