Maybe this is old news, but has anyone seen the badass renovation at Brier Creek? I accidentally purchased tickets at this theater instead of North Hills. Decided just to go there. The entire theater has those really big comfortable leather (faux) cinema chairs (the ones you would have in a home cinema). They are electrically reclining all the way back to horizontal. Massive improvement. They probably cut the number of seats in half to accommodate this, but the experience is awesome.

The experience is good, but they will eventually make it so you have to reserve seats (like Raleigh grande) which basically makes spontaneous movie outings obsolete, since the best seats are taken early. If you don't mind planning a few days out for the movie, it is a great way to see movies though.

I'm way more likely to go to a movie with reserved settings. I mean if the IMAX downtown did that, I'd actually go see movies there

Cary Crossroads has the same setup now.

I do spontaneous trips to Raleigh Grande, unless it's opening weekend you can still get good seats a couple hours before showtime. Also, the theaters are small enough that even the seats on the side are fine.We rarely went to movies before but go frequently now that you can reserve seats

Nice seats are great, but if they are still projecting dark ass movies, whats the point? Also, reserved seats are annoying when you have movie cash for a shit movie and want to see something else.
