What they do is take a hair clippers and shave the wool off in the summer. Then they take care of the animals, so they can grow more wool that can also be sold. It doesn't harm them.

I went to school with some girls that started to balloon after high school and college, but I've also gone to school with girls who got hotter once they hit their mid 20's and got into their 30's.
