This season is turning out to be highly entertaining. Been several great head to head battles between the Silver Arrow teammates, Ferrari seems to more competitive than they have in years, Red Bull is on the rebound, McLaren's rate of improvement is starting to be something to watch and the US finally has a homegrown (mostly) team this year.Any other garage folk keeping up this year?PS: The engines still sound like my kitchen's garbage disposal.

I want to start following F1. What are the basics I need to know? Huge fan of racing in general, just not familiar with the F1 teams, big names, etc.Who's the US team you're talking about?
7/6/2016 9:27:05 AM
i have been following it some. that nico guy is a jerk running his teammate off the track more than once this season
7/6/2016 10:54:35 AM
^they're both jerks. If you think otherwise I dunno what to tell you...^^Team Haas.

i dont know that much about hamilton. i will take your word for it. as far as the two on track incidents this season both looked like 95% nico's fault
7/6/2016 11:06:53 AM
Austria was 100% Nico's fault. To think otherwise is ridiculous. He claimed brake problems, but if you look at the replay he wasn't even trying to steer in towards the turn. The collision at Spain was a bit more complicated.

Wow. What a dick.https://www.formula1.com/en/video/2016/7/Accident_or_aggression__Hamilton_and_Rosberg%27s_Austrian_collision_explained.html

A1 Ring, always a good time.

I had a friend spoil the fuck out of the Silverstone GP for me (seriously, who the fuck texts someone the winner at 930am on a motherfucking Sunday?!) but it still ended up being a really entertaining race (thanks Mother Nature!).Was amazing watching almost every driver lose it in turn one and seeing them (mostly) recovering it.
7/13/2016 1:36:15 PM
yeah if it doesnt rain before a race they should bring out water trucks and wet down the track

Another boring race up front with Mercedes domination.Fun stuff further back however. I've found that I'm pretty entertained every race by rooting for Kimi. He's doing some amazing stuff, too bad the car's not up to the challenge.

I'm starting to watch more and more over the last couple of weeks. The wife likes to sleep in on weekends and that just so happens to line up with early morning races.

lol at the only comment on that article."Apparently Bernie Ecclestone has offered them 50 million to keep her."

wonder if he called his lawyers to try figure out if a divorce would be cheaper than the ransom

At the US GP Gerard Butler conducted the post race driver interviews on the podium. I'm 95% certain he was drunk while doing so

Most people don't like making the switch from cigarette boats to tankers, so that seems unlikely.
