I was interested in the concept but I got kinda bored in the pilot. Why did that building fall down? Was the music just so loud and the building so old/bad construction that it broke apart? I guess there is some kind of symbolism there or something, I don't know.

One thing I will say is that 1970s New York looked absolutely filthy and probably reeked of smoke.

Also, the guy they got to play Robert Plant looked just like him!

Building fell down due to being old and not having any proper upkeep on it I believe. It actually happened, though not while a concert was going on

Watched the last episode. I found it a lot more interesting than the pilot. Also, holy shit Ray Romano.

Ratings have been horribly bad for this show, and yet it was renewed for S2 after 1 episode.

It is decent, Olivia Wilde is fun to look at, and it is kind of cool how they are able to make rock star lookalikes, but it just doesn't seem to have the same appeal to me as Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, The Leftovers, and the other HBO greats.

Although it is still way better than Luck.

i'm still watching this show, but it's definitely just a "playing in the background" show. i have no emotional investment in any of the characters, although i could probably care about ray ramano's character if they spend more time with him.

I like this a lot, but it would've worked better as a 6 or 8 part event series or something. Not really certain how this stretches into multiple seasons.

even though dice clay was great as buck Rodgers, I think that part of the story is unnecessary. Why add that? I would like it much better if it did not use this gimmick to build a conflicted main character

I'm liking it less and less each episode. This is what happens when you have 0 likeable characters.....maybe Ray Romano's character but that's it. The whole dead friend gimmick was lame and obvious

Agreed on both parts. Olivia Wilde continues to look amazing though at least.

And although they nailed both Robert Plant and Alice Cooper in appearance, their Bowie left a lot to be desired. It may be that I'm a big Bowie fan so I'm more familiar with his details but his voice and look wasn't nearly as good as the other two. You'd think that since Mick Jagger is an executive producer that would be the one guy they'd definitely get right.

Nah. Vinyl sucked hard.

I know they just hired a new President, but Thrones and Veep are incredible...Westworld looks great.

Curb is coming back....

HBO's fine.

GoT is incredible, but there's really only one full season left of that show. WestWorld has been delayed over a year, several other shows were given the green light then canceled well after production started.

They're going through a rough patch. It's definitely worthy of considerable criticism when they throw $100 million into a series that flops spectacularly.

Eh. I thought it was setting up for a stronger second season.

Poor Ray Romano.

I mostly enjoyed this first season and thought it was better when the episodes focused on just a few of the characters. I wasn't so attached that I care that it's gone now. Throw some of that Vinyl money to Leftovers. That Elvis/Vegas episode was great though.

Agreed. Great episode. I thought the season began to focus in more from then on in, but oh well.
Big fan of the Leftovers, so whatever loot they can push towards that gets my vote.
