I've gotta be honest I don't even know what he looks like. That's how much my apathy for the program has grown in just a few years. I used to follow recruiting on the regular. Lately I just don't care as much. It could be that I've gotten busier being in residency and with married life, but us sucking certainly hasn't helped.
12/30/2015 8:58:34 PM
He'll be a red shirt sophomore next year. He's from Charlotte and was rated a 4* recruit.

Is it a sure thing he starts over Jakobi Meyers? A lot of people are high on him.
12/30/2015 11:08:23 PM
People also stated that Bryant Shirreffs was the next great thing. Let's wait and see how these guys play out to start the season. Hopefully nothing is given to either of the guys.

very meaningless, of coursebut brissett easily had the better pedigree. Meyers and McClendon's accomplishments are giant honking pile of meh[Edited on December 31, 2015 at 9:01 AM. Reason : my hopes for next year are ... nominal to say the least]
12/31/2015 8:59:46 AM
If we couldn't win anything of note with Rivers, Wilson, or Glennon at QB I find it hard to imagine we will be winning anything of note going forward either.

he's gonna throw for so many yards at baylor[Edited on March 20, 2018 at 11:44 AM. Reason : lol]
3/20/2018 11:44:11 AM
He might not even start at Baylor, they bring back a returning starter at QB and just picked up a 4* true FR. They wanted a post-grad QB to give them depth so they could RS their FR QB.
3/20/2018 2:12:05 PM
I'm honestly surprised he didn't transfer sooner. Doesn't sound like he's going to a place where he gets a better chance to play really, but good luck young man.
3/20/2018 11:00:04 PM
Baylor went 1-11 last year and their QBs were basically garbageI'd say he has a decent chance

Really like McClendon and what he's done for the program, but he had a shot to win the job and didn't when Finley transferred in. I think he has all the tools to be an effective starter, just needs a long leash and time to gain some confidence.
3/21/2018 9:21:22 AM
Turned on espn today and apparently he's starting in the xfl
4/8/2023 2:07:45 PM
Such a shame he never got that heisman
4/9/2023 9:13:44 AM
Pretty wild to see the comparison of Brissett, Jakobi Meyers and Jalan.
