how do i look?

The Shelby Miller trade looks like a Damn steal by the Braves, but time will tell. I really have no idea what the lineup and rotation will look like, but here is my guess right now. Half of these guys are probably traded by April:1. Inciarte CF2. Jace 2B3. Freeman 1B4. Olivera 3B5. Markakis RF6. Piersynski/Flowers C7. Bourne (LOL) LF8. Aybar (LOL) SSMaybe 70 homeruns from the 8 players total and that is if Freeman and Olivera hit 25 each.Rotation:1. Teheran (if he is not traded)2. Wisler3. Folty 4. Banuelos5. Williams Perez/Mike Minor/Homeless guy in parking lotIf Teheran gets traded, then 100-105 losses looks certain. Oh well, at least we finally made a smart move for some positional talent with the Miller trade.
12/9/2015 8:40:14 PM
Hart made a statement today that Teheran won't be traded and they plan for him to be the anchor of the rotation. Now, i take that with a grain of salt. If the offer arises I think they'll make the move.

Braves farm system is fucking loaded. #1 in Laws rankings this year and the the shear number of arms is mind boggling. Sounds like we have a lot of young, fast position players in the pipeline too. Building off that Royals model it seems. Front office has done a helluva job fixing the shit left behind by Wren.
2/16/2016 9:47:43 PM
^in line to sign a couple of the top IFAs this summer as well. Maitan, lazarito and a catcher named Gutierrez specifically.Newcomb, Blair and Allard are all predicted to be top to middle of rotation guys. Toussaint has the stuff to be like that but his control is bad and his delivery is funky May eND up in pen. Lucas sims is another pitcher that looks like he has a future with the big club. Add those guys to dudes already with the big club like wiser and banuelos and the young core of pitchers is loaded.Position player wise...Albies and Swanson are likely your future 2b/ss combo. Austin Riley is, hopefully, the future at 3B. Braxton Davidson is either RF or 1B. Still need to work on getting some impact bats in the system, but if they can sign the IFA prospects I mentioned, that will go a long ways towards fixing that.

Fuck the Cobb County Braves.
2/17/2016 8:42:31 AM
And fuck you too
2/17/2016 9:43:59 AM
sprawl contributing fuckes
2/17/2016 1:15:26 PM
This team is going to lose a lot of games.
2/17/2016 1:36:10 PM
can't wait
2/17/2016 2:01:20 PM
^ not sure if serious.Jibbles used to be a Braves fan and now he jumped ship because they're moving the stadium outside of Atlanta? I used to like NC State basketball, but then they moved to the ESA, fuck them now...
2/17/2016 8:01:27 PM
It's jaybee...what do you expect...rational thoughts?
2/17/2016 8:35:54 PM
^^ totally serious. My career is City Planning and Transportation Engineering. What they are doing is what every other city (almost) tried in the 60s and 70s and they realized that it was an awful idea and moved back to the city proper. The Braves are making the same mistake 40+ years later because of backhanded deals by Cobb Co. Council Members who happen to own the land that the Braves are moving to... horrible horrible idea. The day they announced it I got calls from colleagues around the country asking if it was a joke.
2/17/2016 11:28:31 PM
I, too, abandon life-long fandom because the stadium moves
2/17/2016 11:57:18 PM
2/18/2016 12:15:53 AM
Alpharetta Braves of Roswelllol i can only imagine how fast jaybee would jump off the bandwagon if one of his teams actually left town
2/18/2016 1:14:13 AM
Lol nice way to start the season. Blow a lead in the 9th because Piersynski can't catch a throw and then commit an error in the 10th. Only 109 more losses to go!
4/4/2016 8:02:16 PM
https://www.facebook.com/events/1583416288641145/Looks like after those lousy 9th and 10th innings last night the curse has already started!
4/5/2016 3:50:15 PM
This team may be worse than I imagined.Only silver lining is losing big means better draft position again. Eventually some of these young pitchers are going to have to actually pitch well and fulfill their hype.
4/10/2016 6:59:00 AM
It seems to be a rebuilding year again.
4/11/2016 10:28:28 PM
I hope that post was a joke. Clearly it is a rebuilding year as will be next year most likely. The problem for the Braves is that young arms need to be ready for next year as they move to Cobb County, but likely will not. Mallex Smith played his first game last night and brought some speed and energy which the Braves sorely need on the team. Our bullpen is comically bad though.
4/12/2016 4:44:13 PM
hector olivera finally got a couple of hits in last nighton the hooker in his hotel room.guess she wasn't left handed.
4/13/2016 1:00:02 PM
Man, this is sad.
4/14/2016 12:00:59 AM
This is how I know the braves suck. No one posts...but hey, 3 in a row!!!!

On pace for triple digit losses plus more. This team is hilariously bad. Fredi will clearly be fired, the only question is if they let him finish the season.
4/30/2016 8:44:09 PM
Fredi won't be fired
5/1/2016 9:12:29 AM
Albies promoted to AAA, Swanson promoted to AA. In Swansons AA debut he doubled and hit a homer.
5/1/2016 10:45:35 AM
Dont look now, but the Bravos have won 2 of 3

Great article outlining Liberty's business tactics and their view of Braves ownership. I can totally understand how longtime fans would be reluctant to support this Braves team or any team owned by Liberty. Things aren't gonna get better with this ownership anytime soon - this season may be the bottom, but you can guarantee the top is not gonna be anywhere close to sniffing a pennant or title anytime soon. http://www.bloomberg.com/features/2016-atlanta-braves-stadium/
5/2/2016 10:52:15 AM
I have never switched allegiances to teams i've grown up cheering for but the last four years has really soured me on the Braves. I'll almost watch any other team play on any given night than voluntarily watch that lineup trot out there and struggle to put up 2 runs.
5/2/2016 11:48:27 AM
^ I'm with you. I realize that to non-Atlantans the stadium thing doesn't really matter, and may seem like a strange thing for locals to really care about. But the combination of Liberty solely viewing the Braves as a business managed for annual profits + the disaster of the team we have in place this season makes it really challenging to care. I know that companies like Liberty are here to make money, but typically major sports franchise owners view that as, to a certain extent, secondary to winning. They know they'll eventually make handsome returns on the sale of the team and will sacrifice some near term profits to fund a winner if necessary - this isn't Liberty's view at all. I'm not switching allegiances, as I really don't care about any other teams enough to follow them, just sort of checking out on the Braves for a while until they can provide at least some sort of inspiration. Crappy ownership AND a terrible team? naw son.[Edited on May 2, 2016 at 12:41 PM. Reason : .]
5/2/2016 12:40:58 PM
^^last 4 years? They won the East in 2013...lol. good grief some of you folks are miserable. I really hope you folks jumping ship don't come back when they start competing again
5/2/2016 12:47:13 PM
^ honestly as long as Liberty is running the show i probably won't really care. I know that seems silly but that's how i feel. part of that is that i'll be surprised if they're ever a contender under Liberty, it'll take a lot of luck with their prospects for that to happen. not saying it won't, they may strike gold with a few guys currently in the system and be back near the top of the NL in a few years, but odds aren't great. we'll just have to wait a few years and see!
5/2/2016 1:20:23 PM
i'm not jumping ship. I'm just not religiously watching this team play each night like i have for years prior. There is too much other good baseball to see.
5/2/2016 2:33:59 PM
I wouldn't call it jumping ship, you have to swim to get away from the ship right now
5/3/2016 2:16:57 AM
Mallex smith with his first career homer off matt harvey. Mallex is 7-13 on the road trip @Boston, Chicago and new York
5/3/2016 8:31:37 PM
^And 0-4 with 2 k's today.
5/4/2016 9:10:35 PM
Every ball player has days like that. I'm more impressed at the 8-15 stretch before that. I wasn't saying that he was gonna be an all-star or anything...just that he was playin well
5/5/2016 4:31:42 PM
Told you Fredi is going to get the axe. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Makes perfect sense to can his ass, give Eddie Perez the interim job as a long term interview and if he sucks too, try someone else in the off-season. Braves need an analytical manager, not Fredi and his old school bullshit.http://espn.go.com/blog/mlb/rumors/post/_/id/24185/mlb-rumor-central-is-fredi-gonzalez-on-the-hot-seat
5/5/2016 7:48:05 PM
officially fired.
5/17/2016 11:47:12 AM
[BYE]
5/17/2016 1:47:18 PM
wolfpack2105 credibility watch. I know my fucking Braves.Anyway Snitker as the interim manager is laughable too. Well on their way to 100+ losses. Will be interesting to see who they get as the permanent manager. They need to go after a younger, more analytical mind that can maximize the youth movement. Most likely they will hire some old fart like Davey Johnson.

5/17/2016 11:28:05 PM
^ completely agreeI think firing Fredi is fine, just seems like a weird move to do it middle of the season - we knew this team was gonna be shit. It's been shit. Why make a change mid season? Only reason I could think to do it would be if you think Snitker may have potential and you want to give him a no-risk "tryout" for the permanent job. but if that's not the case and Snitker is just a stop-gap, why not just wait until the end of the season to make this change? They're not fooling anyone - Fredi isn't great, but it's not his fault the team is on pace to be the worst in history. Smells of management just trying to shift blame.[Edited on May 18, 2016 at 9:15 AM. Reason : .]
5/18/2016 9:14:46 AM
I don't mind the mid-season firing. The season is already over and this basically gives the organization the entire summer to find a long term replacement without dragging the "FG hot seat/ will they-won't they" discussion into the offseason. I see no way in which Snitker is the new manager of this team in 2017. Snitker is there to stop the bleeding while EP and TP get the rest of the season to audition for their new roles. But that only works if the new manager doesn't have a staff lined up.
5/18/2016 9:39:21 AM
Erick Aybar can't even eat chicken. Why the fuck is he even on the team at this point. He has nearly a sub .400 OPS. That is hard to do unless you are a pitcher.
5/19/2016 9:48:47 PM
^Yeah that was one of the funniest headlines I read in a long time
