Summary?

you gonna get duped by this one, too?[Edited on November 9, 2015 at 9:03 PM. Reason : .]

There's nothing really to get duped on.Apparently some North campus administrator doesn't want copies of a book or books that have the Constitution in them in the dorms. I wonder how this even got to Veritas.
11/9/2015 9:24:29 PM
Not really how it went down from what I can tell. The actor basically acted offended and upset that the constitution was there (why was it even anyway?) and some dumb admin got rid of it to shut up the crazy person.I guess the point was "derp, liberal colleges hate the constitution."[Edited on November 9, 2015 at 9:28 PM. Reason : Though I just casually read the wral article]

The only thing that pisses me off is that Duke and Carolina actually handled this shit more appropriately than NCSU did.And if you support NCSU, you should be concerned by this shit. Not because we may be physically "shredding the constitution" on campus (that's bullshit), but because no one can predict what the next shiny object is going to be that captures conservatives' attention, and they'll end up going to the mat over it to "preserve their values." Its hard to fight back against that kind of doggedness.

The whole premise of the video is so weird. Is there normally copies of the constitution just chilling in public areas of dorms?
11/9/2015 9:31:51 PM
Project Veritas was probably handing them out to spread the good news - it seems like the Bible would have gotten more clicks, and the student should have asked the administrator to help her burn it.
11/9/2015 9:42:00 PM
Yea that's what I'm not understanding. Did they have it painted on a dorm hallway or something?I don't care if anybody gets offended by the Constitution...boohoo, but this just doesn't really add up.
11/9/2015 9:45:16 PM
You have been educated stupid by the LIEberal media.
11/15/2015 3:54:52 PM
How is the constitution offensive anyway?
11/16/2015 12:49:18 AM
It's hard to tell because the video is edited, but it looks like a student came in on the verge of tears, the employee was just doing their job to listen to their complaint, then it was towards the end they told them it was the constitution. You can't really spend 10-15 minutes getting someone to empathize with your sorrow in an emotional and sincere way, then twist it at the end, and make anyone think this is how things normally operate. This is about as slimy and unethical as a journalist can be, but this has been the tone of all of the groups' videos. And it's even ironic that they're obscuring what could be a good discussion of how the concept of "freedom" and "democracy" have evolved with constitution over time, but if you tried to point this out, they'd probably just dismiss the idea.

did this ever become a story?
11/16/2015 1:20:54 PM
^ i hadn't seen it anywhere, but i doubt rjfurmfel checks projectveritas everyday, i'm assuming he saw this on some right-wing media somewhere.
11/16/2015 1:34:15 PM
It was actually on WRAL.
11/16/2015 2:31:27 PM

Worst part is it won't matter to some that they got caught. My drunk uncle will be asking me if I "seen that video that exposes WAPO" at Christmas regardless.

Hmmm....Nov. 9: WP reports Moore accusations. Nov. 10: Project Veritas agent emails WP to offer bait. Nov. 11: Moore says: “There are investigations going on. In the next few days, there will be revelations about the motivations and the content of this article.” What did Roy Moore know?https://twitter.com/saletan/status/935500435909210112

Anybody following the #J20 trials?I’m not following that closely, but somehow wandered down a hall on Twitter and was reading more about it.Holy shit, in at least one of the trials the prosecution is relying on Project Veritas footage, which of course it has been selectively edited and it doesn’t look like they’ve been required to turn over the raw footage yet (that’s my understanding). What’s more the PV operative admitted to trying to pay provocateurs on that day and admitted they had operatives all over the protest. So we have the US government trying to tease out which protestors participated in property destruction using selectively edited grainy video shot by confirmed liars, who have also admitted to trying to instigate violence at the protest.Fuck no.
