Post and discuss your recommendations for workstation flareWhat I'm most interested in is a solid mouse or trackball. I've used some absolutely shitty mouses over the past few years and it was no big deal, since I was only at my desk, doing a lot of clicking, for a few hours each week (and most of that was TWW). Now, it looks like I'm going to be having some weeks where I spend a majority of it with some heavy mouse work, I figure a good solid mouse/trackball will be well worth the money. Any recommendations? Any arguments for mouse vs. trackball? Anybody out there that uses more than the standard mouse (left and right click, wheel+ its click) buttons on a regular basis?

Lol NOTED!!! I had already looked at them a little online. Just because I know nothing about ergo - Trackballs are generally easier on the wrists right? I just know I have a ton of left to right movement, no pain yet but I could see how it's gonna wear overtime

Anyone ever try these vertical mice?http://evoluent.com/

Yes, with the trackball there is no movement of the wrist, and if you're feeling sharpness now, then do yourself a favor and start using a trackball for general use, especially if you work all day at a computer. Best decision I ever made ~6 years ago. No wrist pain.I save all my mice-usage for FPS gaming, still can't get comfortable trackballing an FPS.

That vertical mouse looks interesting as hell. Also good suggestion on upping the sensitivity of the mouse. I tried it some today, and it'll take some getting used to, it was def way less movement

i've been using logitech trackballs since the late 90's, even for FPS gaming (flicking your thumb > moving a mouse )my current one is the M570 http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-910-001799-M570-Wireless-Trackball/dp/B0043T7FXE

I bought an Evoluent mouse about 6 years ago when I started having ct issues.I do a lot of web/graphic design and I recall not liking it that much. When I switched to a Mac, I stopped using it and forgot I had it. I wonder if I still have it.

I have a new, but out of box, M570 if someone wants to buy it. I used a finger trackball for years and this thumb shit is for the birds.
