Drivers don't kill people, cars do

Police may have found a tin foil bowl with a gram of dirt weed in her car. Like we need another reason to support marijuana prohibition

The driver is not very attractive.

So she can expect prison.

I doubt when she legally bought her car, she had the intention of doing something crazy

mass car ramming? we need to increase car control or ban cars immediately.

But, seriously, I learned from a CSI episode back in the day that this is how a lot of bad problem accidents happen. Basically, we get so accustomed to driving certain routes that we stop paying attention when we're on them...they're kind of like warp pipes that we can enter without thinking.

Then, when something changes about them--construction, game day, fair, concert, parade, bicycle race, slightly different time of day/sun in your eyes--we're not prepared.

Obviously, drinkers especially get very used to their less-policed safe routes, and it's a very sad perfect storm of sorts when a change is made that they're not anticipating. That said, it's not clear that this woman was drunk or high or whatever. Seems like there was some other distraction.

I want to know the psychological state of this woman that not only was she completely inebriated at 10 AM but also decided it was a good idea to drive much less notice the parade of 10,000 people that she plowed through.

I'm having trouble understanding the level of drunk/high that would allow someone to do this and not be unconscious

she deserves the death penalty. tons of taxpayer dollars would be saved if she was just hung on site.

the fact that her BAC hasn't been plastered all over the media makes me think it wasn't alcohol. Drugs, crazy, or a combination of the two seem to be in play.

Yes, she apparently ran a ran light, went around a barricade and plowed into the police motorcycle before sending people flying.
