I don't see the humor. Have you never heard of UAE before?

Exact examples dawg. I guess this is where practice tests come from.[Edited on September 12, 2015 at 11:46 PM. Reason : _]

Agreed, lol at studying Calc 3

EM'I'RATE?Is it funny to go back to school and get your degree?[Edited on September 13, 2015 at 12:06 AM. Reason : _]

No, good for you. But it's funny that I don't want to take Calc 3 again and I don't have to.

Calc 3 was pretty ok, but fuck Diff Eq up its tedious asshole.
9/13/2015 2:04:50 AM
I liked diff eq.Electromagnetics could go DIAF (is that still a thing) though-- which incidentally uses a lot of calc 3.
9/13/2015 2:20:22 AM
I still dont get it. Them A-rabs invited Algebra...
9/13/2015 2:51:24 AM
^this is calculus though...invented by Europeans. Arabs are good at the bullshit 100-level math courses you get put in if you flunk the entrance exam.]
9/14/2015 6:07:26 AM
I really didn't like diff eq, but I think a lot of that had to do with the teacher.
9/14/2015 9:33:25 AM
calc 3 was the class i could always solve the equations but never have any idea what it meant or what the picture looked like. was so glad to get my B-/C+ or whatever it was and never look back
9/14/2015 9:52:28 AM
that was differential equations for me because I took it with the professor that just taught the pattern and never talked about what any of it meant, when i took vibrations the next semester I wondered why the fuck we didn't just do vibrations problems in differential equations class. but what the fuck is this thread about, I don't understand it

I think the joke was that a muslim place was studying vectors in a plane. like airplane.
9/14/2015 2:11:47 PM
No, it's not a joke. He's remarking on how strange it is that his professors are using identical practice problems as some folks in the UAE and that he actually stumbled on this fact when he was looking for help. It's technically not that surprising for a number of reasons...but still.
