baconi like it. it's good. in fact, i think it's great. but it seems like now every thing's gotta be bacon wrapped or topped with bacon. sometimes things are actually better with no bacon on them at all.

Motorcyclists that insist on riding their bike as loudly as possible. Like seriously, wtf are they doing?....operating in 3rd gear when going 15 mph or something?
9/2/2015 3:10:40 PM
celiac disease =/= gluten intolerance in the sense that most people say, "Oh, I avoid bread because I'm gluten intolerant." Gluten intolerance is a myth. FODMAPs are the most likely culprit of what causes discomfort in people that claim to be gluten intolerant. And then there are those for which the entire thing is psychosomatic. You skipped out on eating a big mac everyday and feel better now that you've gone gluten free? You don't say? Must've been the gluten!Celiac disease is very real and can be a devastating illness.[Edited on September 2, 2015 at 3:15 PM. Reason : ]

people who post pictures of words on twitter or instagram. like, it'll be some kinda of motivational phrase or maybe even a shitty joke written out...and people post pictures of it online. i just don't get it...why not just type out what the picture of the words says if you think it's something worth sharing on social media?then again, i don't get probably 90% of what people post and do on social media.[Edited on September 2, 2015 at 3:39 PM. Why it's called quarter of when in fact it's really quarter till
9/2/2015 10:09:41 PM
^ ?5:45 is "quarter to 6". How is "quarter of" used and in what context? I have not heard it.
9/2/2015 10:46:24 PM
same context as quarter til. maybe it's a southern thing, because it always sounds stupid to me when I hear people saying it.
9/2/2015 10:55:33 PM
of and from are interchangeable in some languages. i, too, never say "quarter of" unless

So some native speakers of English American say "quarter of 6" to refer to the time 5:45?Wow, morons
9/2/2015 11:47:47 PM
It means "quarter of an/the hour", ie 15 minutesI don't say it but it's really not that hard to grasp]
9/2/2015 11:49:05 PM
6 pm is a point in time, not a whole hour. So when you say "quarter of 6" for 5:45, it makes no sense. If you want to think of the whole hour between 5 pm and 6 pm, it is the 6th hour after noon. Looking at it that way, 5:45 is "three quarters of [the] 6[th hour]", not "quarter of 6". But giving time as an interval rather than as a point in time is moronic to begin with.In the end, it is simple English.Would ofHad ofCould ofJust add one more... quarter of.
9/2/2015 11:57:31 PM
not to sound like a xenophobe, but you're ESL, right?
9/3/2015 12:07:21 AM
"Quarter of 6" = "quarter from 6"?"From" in which direction? That's why we have "quarter till/to 6" and "quarter past 6", to indicate direction."Top of the hour" is scientifically and logically correct. "Hour" is an interval, so when you are on "top" of it, you are at its beginning.English is my second language but it is also my best language. Moreover, of all the five languages I can speak, it is the only language in which I have full/native fluency in speaking, reading/comprehending, and writing. Now you are going to tell me I don't have native fluency in English because I think "quarter of 6" to refer to the time 5:45 is incorrect, right?
