This should be a piece of cake.

Are there any other countries that have a history of flying the losing sides' flag after a civil war? I know a lot of people have been using the Nazi flag as a counterpoint, but that wasn't a civil war. To me, as a Southerner, the Confederate Flag represents one of the blackest marks on the South's history. Its a sign of failure, both military and culturally. The desire to fly it looks more to me like denial of all the progress the South has made.its like bragging about a scar you got in a bar fight, except the fight started because you treated everyone in the bar like shit to the point where the bouncers took you out back and beat the tar out of you. Its not cool, its embarrassing.

I'm entirely of the opinion that the south should have been allowed to secede. However, no, there's no reason to fly the flag of a side that fought against he US over a government building.
