We need to move a pallet or two each month a total of 8 miles within Raleigh. From our business to a warehouse. We've been using a pickup truck and manually assembling and disassembling the pallet to load and unload. The warehouse we are delivering to does not appreciate the hassle of driving a forklift outside to bring in the pallet.Any TWW connections at local distributors, moving companies, trucking companies, etc?Less than 30 minutes to pickup and deliver. No manual work for the driver. Reasonably cheap cost hopefully.

Suffice it to say that we were absolutely shocked at the demeanor of the warehouse staff. Maybe we'll try to buy a smallish dock-height truck in a year or so.

i used to work in a warehouse and did most of the forklift work - never minded unloading anywhere, really. unless it was soft ground and there was a good chance of getting it stuck. with the same company i did driving/delivering and i can't recall any warehouse i delivered to being put out when the truck was too low for their loading dock. that's unfortunate that they're that way about it.
