Has anyone gone to Tybee Island on a holiday weekend?

I was thinking about heading down there sunday morning memorial weekend. Probably leave Charlotte around 8 which in theory would put me there around noon. Does traffic bottle neck really bad getting to the island?

I've been once and it wasn't on a holiday and the traffic was terrible.

It's always terrible. My grandparents lived on 8th, we couldn't go into savannah for dinner without planning around beach traffic heading back in at the end of the day.

There's traffic going east on any highway during Memorial Day weekend and traffic coming west on the way back
