Saw it at IMAX Friday night with sumfoo1. Highly entertaining, in spite of a few really stupid (even for this series) action sequences.

I've never heard a movie so loud (at my IMAX theater). As a drummer, I can deal with it. I felt like I could really "feel" the action.

I had my g/f watch Initial D a year ago thinking she may/may not get into it. She loved it. So I thought that maybe, if I'm lucky, she'll enjoy the F&F series. Man, I've got a keeper as we binge watched 1-7 and she absolutely loved it. She loves the series, so much in fact that she went to see F&F 8 without me.

I just said the previews looked awful.

I checked it out...better than I expected, but fairly predictable storyline overall from the previews.

Action scenes were fun, The Rock steals the show, and Statham was solid as well.

Just have to turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.

I, too, avoided the previews/trailers. Still managed to see some of the idiotic submarine sequences though. Tried to block out that moronic scene.

My kung fu instructor is in Fast 8 and that STILL isn't enough to make me want to watch a single second more than I already have of this garbage series. Gone In 60 Seconds is infinitely better and it starred Nicholas fucking Cage.
