http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/03/18/espns-stephen-a-smith-for-one-election-every-black-person-should-vote-republican/

Is what stephen smith is saying pro-republican, anti-democrat, anti-both, or anti-republican?

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/aug/28/republicans-party-of-civil-rights

Quote :
" it becomes clear that Democrats in the north and the south were more likely to vote for the bill than Republicans in the north and south respectively. This difference in both houses is statistically significant with over 95% confidence. It just so happened southerners made up a larger percentage of the Democratic than Republican caucus, which created the initial impression than Republicans were more in favor of the act.

Nearly 100% of Union state Democrats supported the 1964 Civil Rights Act compared to 85% of Republicans. None of the southern Republicans voted for the bill, while a small percentage of southern Democrats did."

Neither of the two parties are the same as they were back then so it doesn't matter who was for/against civil rights or slavery back in the day. The problem lies in the two party system and the inherent polarization that is a byproduct of pigeonholing ourselves into a vote for the lesser of two evils. Stephen A...you wanna actually think outside the box??? Advise people to vote third party.
