Hillsborough St. was 64 back in the day, not Western.

^4 the map ends too short on the west side of town to show the land that would become North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts 15 years later

^^ nice map. Didnt realize lake raleigh and Johnston were that old.

Also funny that power lines (transmission lines) are still in the same spots as today.

I'm always in awe of what it must have taken to put up electric and telephone lines across the country, especially in the woods and on top of mountains.
