Yes the hatred has nothing to do with a video of a cop choking a man to death, and a prosecutor playing defense attorney during the grand jury.....

Its scary that half the country actually agrees with these nut jobs.

[this isn't troll smath talking]

This issue (well obviously it's a whole host of issues) is so hard for me.

I feel like everyone should be free and able to make personal choices about their own lives, which obviously includes choices about their own bodies, and they should be free to do so in as such a safe way that medical science can afford.

My problem (which i speak from in a personal way) is that I feel that as a father, even if it's to an unborn child (fetus, clump of cells, parasite), I should have a voice. I don't deny that a pregnancy has a profound effect on a mother, and even at times a medical risk that could (in extreme circumstances) lead to death.

But the first time I fathered a child (knocked up a chick?) I felt that the "unborn" was a part of me. Not inside my body, but connected to me biologically. I wanted to do whatever I could to ensure that this offspring would be able to have a rich and full life, and I vowed that with whatever I was capable of, I would do what I could to ensure that this happened.

What if the mother decided that she didn't want it? (luckily I was part of a relationship/partnership that precluded that from happening)... I would have been devastated. I would have had no option under our current system from preventing such a thing from happening.

And know a lot of you are probably getting defensive... please don't. I know there are many reasons why a woman needs to terminate a pregnancy. health reasons... economic reasons... mental health reasons.... (i can't imagine having to cultivate for 40 weeks the baby of a rapist after such an assault... although i also understand why some people do)

I have no political/legal solutions to this... this is honestly just my thought on the issue. I feel like though that when anyone mentions father's rights (or whatever the proper term is), people automatically get defensive.

I am very fortunate to have two young kids, and I love them with all of my heart. If anyone took them from me, (legally or illegally) it would be devastating.

I just wanted to share my thoughts. No idea how people will respond, but a father's feelings for his kids is just as powerful as the mother's.

(and yes, there are men out there who might not share my view. some men define "father" as having donated enough semen to impregnate his [current] mate. And there are men out there who are predators who impregnate women against their will... but I don't think these "men" represent the majority)

You have a voice. What you don't have is dominion over the mother. Your rights end where hers begin.

In an alternate universe where the men carried the children to term, they would have the choice, but here in our universe, thems the breaks.

just give the father the right to expose the infant on a mountainside after it's born, as in olden times

then the woman can't complain that her prerogative over her own body is being violated, and yet both parents retain control over the pregnancy, in effect

seems like a win-win situation to me

If the ingredients were put together by rape or incest, then it is no longer a pizza

[Edited on February 23, 2015 at 4:18 PM. Reason : Unless it's cooked anyway. Then it's just as delicious as consensual pizza]

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/09/how-fox-news-women-took-down-roger-ailes.html

Quote :
"Though Ailes had married his college girlfriend, he used his growing power to take advantage of the parade of beautiful women coming through his office hoping to be cast on the show. Over the past two months, I interviewed 18 women who shared accounts of Ailes’s offering them job opportunities if they would agree to perform sexual favors for him and for his friends. In some cases, he threatened to release tapes of the encounters to prevent the women from reporting him. “The feeling I got in the interview was repulsion, power-hungriness, contempt, violence, and the need to subjugate and humiliate,” says a woman who auditioned for Ailes in 1968 when she was a college student."

Quote :
"One prominent Republican told me that it was Ailes’s well-known reputation for awful behavior toward women that prevented him from being invited to work in the Nixon White House (or, later, in the administration of Bush 41). So after the ’68 election, he moved to New York, where he continued to use his power to demand sex from women seeking career opportunities. During this time Ailes divorced, remarried, and divorced again. A former television producer described an interview with Ailes in 1975, in which he said: “If you want to make it in New York City in the TV business, you’re going to have to fuck me, and you’re going to do that with anyone I tell you to.”"

Quote :
"According to interviews with Fox News women, Ailes would often begin by offering to mentor a young employee. He then asked a series of personal questions to expose potential vulnerabilities. “He asked, ‘Am I in a relationship? What are my familial ties?’ It was all to see how stable or unstable I was,” said a former employee."

Quote :
"Karem Alsina, a former Fox makeup artist, told me she grew suspicious when Fox anchors came to see her before private meetings with Ailes to have their makeup done. “They would say, ‘I’m going to see Roger, gotta look beautiful!’ ” she recalled. “One of them came back down after a meeting, and the makeup on her nose and chin was gone.”"

Quote :

Applies to him to a T. Rule the free world? Check. Philanderer? Check.

Now what he didn't do was impose his hypocritical morals on us, which I'm not disagreeing with anyone. That list by goalie is certainly full of hypocrites.

https://www.theroot.com/exclusive-r-kelly-likes-women-to-be-like-his-puppy-1825295115

Quote :
"I met R. Kelly in March of 2017 at a concert. He asked for my number and we kept in contact. We met up approximately six times over an 11-month period.

Over time, he gradually began to introduce me to his lifestyle and eventually confessed to me about a group of women that shared him sexually and lived in his home under certain restrictions and requirements. He introduced me first to Jocelyn Savage, who he said I should get to know but without sharing any personal information about ourselves or backgrounds.

I told Kelly that I was not comfortable with sex with other women and that I had reservations about his lifestyle. He said [...] he didn’t anticipate that he would use me for group sex, but if he decided to, I would have to consent without protest. He began providing me instructions on how to behave around him, how to address him, how to sit, how to walk, how I was allowed to interact with the opposite sex, how I should respond to commands from him.

Example: He told me if we were ever in public and one of his friends came up to him and greeted him, that if he addressed me as “his bitch” I was not to respond negatively. I was told that he wanted his women to remind him of his puppy, his mother or his daughter. He also warned that as our relationship grew he would need total control and access to my social media, phone and contacts.

On another occasion, he went on to explain to me that he needed me to sign a contract for his protection and offer collateral damaging information about myself and family. Instead of going along with these very bizarre protocols, I ended our relationship in February of this year.

During the time that I was being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult, I was recorded without permission; he also watched himself engaging in sexual acts with other women around me. I was kept in solitude for extensive periods of time, coerced into engaging in sexual acts that I did not want to engage in and treated very much like something less than human.

Kelly was working to break me down in order to have complete control of me the way he appears to have control of the other women in his home. From my observation, Jocelyn Savage appears to [be] very much broken and unhappy but fearful of leaving Kelly’s home. I communicated as much to the Savage family.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/inside-an-alleged-abusive-emo-sex-cult-none-of-these-poor-girls-could-say-no

Quote :
"Earlier this month, accusations started circulating about William Francis, the former lead singer of emo band Aiden who goes by the stage name William Control.

William Control has released multiple albums and toured extensively in the U.S. and U.K., cultivating an image that deals extensively in BDSM themes and imagery. The William Control websites link to his brand, Submit Clothing; a 2015 interview with the musician is titled “Dark Meets Domineering.” But according to accusations made by multiple women, Francis only purported to practice BDSM; in fact, they claim, he physically and emotionally abused women, ordered many of them to get matching tattoos of his initials, and even demanded contracts from his sexual partners or “slaves,” signed in their own blood. An excerpt from a pledge obtained by The Daily Beast reads, “My body is His to use in any way He should choose, and I will never object to any actions He chooses to perform, or have myself perform on Him. There is no limitation to what kind of pain I am willing to endure for my Master.”

The June accusations came in the form of a Facebook post by Vitoria Chan alleging that she was “groomed” into William Control’s “cult” beginning when she was 14. (Chan later emphasized that, “To her knowledge, William Control has not had sex with any underage girls”). She posted a Twitter DM conversation between herself and Francis, which took place when she was 16. “To give some context,” Chan wrote, “William and another woman who had been grooming me [from] a young age had started to get worried about people noticing that I was texting him. Concerned about my age, it was encouraged for me to change his name on my phone and also to ‘date’ someone of my own age to avoid suspicion.”
