I have to find a small $25-30 gift for two men I don't really understand. I would just buy some fancy food and call it a present, but my significant other thinks this move may be criticized by my fam. So, what would Everyman like as a stocking stuffer? No booze. [Edited on December 16, 2014 at 2:43 PM. Reason : V just a modest gift, if you prefer. I'm spending a grand to get there, so i'm only giving trinkets]

$25-$30 stocking stuffers!? i got my dad LL Bean slippers. but he's hinted around at wanting them. They are more expensive, so maybe another brand?

I'm getting my dad a nice craftsman LED flashlight/work light stick that is rechargeable. It has a magnet that you can attach it wherever you want to work on your truck, etc. You can keep it plugged it in the garage, or charge it and keep it in your vehicle. I would imagine most men (people) could use one.[Edited on December 16, 2014 at 2:42 PM. Reason : ]

Getting my dad John McCain's new book. Seems like it's right up his alley. Lowe's gift cards are always an easy one for my dad, too (and most of the men in my family).

I got my dad a car a few years ago under the condition I never had to get him another gift as long as either of us is alive. the man is impossible to shop for, so I figured it was worth it. plus, I'll get the car back when he dies.

I either get my dad gift certificates to Dicks/Triathlete stores or vintage UNC shirts from this local store that sells really cool/comfortable team stuff (you can get it online at http://www.thevaultcharleston.com/). I don't like buying that shit...but he's an alum and really likes them (he has at least three now).Shirts are $30-$35...and I think I do $30 gift cards as well.

my dad's also all about genealogy and stuff like that...so an ancestry.com subscription was something I've gotten him in the past. he loves it.
12/16/2014 3:10:59 PM

Jbrick, I was almost too distracted by the fact that you were directing me to check out a site where you bought Tarhole merchandise to actually check it out, but they sell wool banners for a lot of the schools. It's kind of appealing to me, though the picture is horrible. ever bought one of these?[Edited on December 16, 2014 at 3:21 PM. Reason : read it]

12/16/2014 3:41:13 PM

This thread has been helpful so far. Any ideas for a super conservative, former navy, kind-of old-fashioned computer nerd grandpa without much mobility? (like, i don't know when he is going to use tools or even a flashlight again ) I don't know what kind of tablet he has atm, but he has one. what's your favorite peripheral?[Edited on December 16, 2014 at 11:33 PM. Not giving my dad anything (we don't exchange gifts... he lives all the way out in colorado and that would be a pain) and both of my grandfathers passed away before I was born.

This is confusing me.Why does it say "Wolfpack Almanac?" What's the relevance of Almanac for this banner? And below the slobberwolf, what's the word before Edition?Other than that, it seems pretty badass.
12/17/2014 10:04:02 AM
I guess nothing since they all have passed away
12/17/2014 10:10:31 AM
^^ to me it looks like it says "NC STATE WOLFPACK ALMANAC ARCHIVE EDITION EST. 1887" to me
