I am battling elbow tendinitis at the moment and it is quite the bitch to deal with, especially if you lift weights. I took over a month off completely to let the inflammation go down (it is still inflamed after the initial pain goes away so you need to rest longer than you think). Now I'm just icing after a workout and stretching out my forearm (not stretching after icing, stretching thoughout the day).

What kind of stretching?

Conservative treatment could include physical therapy, icing, bracing, or injections if the inflammation is pretty severe. They usually don't do surgery on epicondilytis unless it's severe enough to keep you out of work.

i had a version of it when I was younger and played baseball. Little League Elbow was the common name although the doctor I went to called it Tennis Elbow. Hurt like hell everytime i'd try and throw the ball. I literally stopped doing all sporting activities for about 2 months and would ice it anytime it felt sore. It ended up getting back to normal but i'm not sure if I did any damage to it.

^^^ just google forearm stretches. The ones I do are just variations of holding your arm out in front of you and pulling back on you hand. Palm up, palm down, palm facing out, palm facing in, you get the point.
