What position did you play?Did you have any rituals? Were you any good?Did you and your teammates ever hold a freshman down in the lockerroom, and fondle/penetrate him?Any interesting stories?

Guard and TackleNoI was okayYes to holding a freshman down, no to fondling/penetratingNot really, other than freezing our asses off in a state 2A playoff game in Clinton that they ran back the opening kick and then proceeded to beat the shit out of us to the tune of 56-0.
10/13/2014 11:02:56 AM
he's lying. all football players fondle/penetrate underclassmen.
10/13/2014 11:06:23 AM
Defensive EndI threw up pretty much every day at practiceAbsolutely not, I was a shitty player on a shitty teamNo, the classes before us hazed underclassmen, but it stopped the year after I joined the team. A couple of the seniors in my sophomore year took it too far with a couple of my team mates and we pretty much didn't see the point in continuing the "tradition"Not really.Edit: I'd add in a question for those with kids. Would you encourage your children to play football? My answer: no[Edited on October 13, 2014 at 11:23 AM. Reason : ]

"Hey John, welcome. This is your locker, and here is where you take ice baths when you're sore. And this dark corner....this is where we penetrate you.Huh? Nah man, its not weird. Its just our thing. Don't worry, when you're an upper classman, you get to penetrate others. Now...lets see that butthole..."

Tackle and Tight EndNot really, I use to drink a Red Bull before games when they first came out and seemed a lot cooler then they are now.I started at Left Tackle (at 6'3 210) probably would have been better if I could have played my natural position (Tight End) but we ran a 5 wide 90% of the time and I'm not Jimmy GrahamAlmost all freshman played JV which had a separate locker room. That being said, there were still a few times when they got thrown in a garbage can and shoved in lockers... nothing overly sexual though, sorry. We went against Dovonte Edwards, who returned the opening kickoff for a TD and somehow caught a pass between his legs. Played against Leroy Harris as well, who wasn't the best DT but obviously was very good at OL.Also Daniel Evans was my quarterback...
10/13/2014 11:38:27 AM
I played high school football, and it was the greatest days of my life. Now I go to all homegames and scream at the kids when they fumble.
10/13/2014 11:44:04 AM
I played intramural flag football, mainly TE/OL and DENo ritualsI was pretty bad, but mainly because the shitty intramural refs called flag-guarding way too oftenWe did not haze our freshmenNo interesting stories
10/13/2014 12:07:21 PM
I played football much of my young life and became starting quarterback my junior year at a high school in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. About that time I discovered partying and made some new friends who shared my interests. During the summer leading into my senior year my coaches started giving me a a lot of flack about my newfound friends and tried to force me to sign a pledge saying I wouldn't drink or do drugs. I finally decided not to play my senior year. I was always cool to the younger guys, and would take them out for a few beers after some of the other guys beat them with paddles. Once we did convince a freshman to throw a bowling ball from a moving car through the windshield of a parked car. After high school my life spiraled out of control and I've been arrested multiple times for drinking and drug related charge. Last year I crapped my pants in the back of a cop car to show them who was boss.

OL (all positions), DL (all positions), LB; all 4 special teams; my primaries were LG and DE/DTNot reallyDecent enough I guess; played all 3 phases of the game and rarely came out; play JV 1 year, varsity 3 yearsNopeWe around the opponent's 5 yard line, I was playing LG; the QB was running right and I was pulling to the right; well the LDT was standing there waiting on the QB, so the QB turned and pitched me the ball (wtf). Result of the play was a touchdown. A 95 yard fumble return for a TD. I thought that both of my shoulders had been dislocated after taking a 3 on 1 hit.[Edited on October 13, 2014 at 1:46 PM. Offensive and defensive tackle (with shattered dreams of being a QB)I don't know if it would be a ritual, but I always put on my shit exactly the same way. Also took everything off the same way and stored it in order. Probably had more to do with the realities of our strict program than anything else.I was ok at best. Our school was 39-1 my fours years of high school, always winning our conference and making it 2-3 rounds deep in the 4A state playoffs. I only played my soph and junior years, moving up to varsity at the end of my sophomore year to play defense on kick coverage (I had a weird ability to block punts and field goals). Our team was pretty tight, only one guy I know of ever got hazed because he was literally the most annoying douchebag ever. He left the team. Only sexual thing that came from the locker room was the life changing conversation about growers vs show-ers. It ended up being hilarious and educational... All the blacks guys though we just had micro dicks and the white guys thought the black guys must have grown into Louisville sluggers. Most memorable game for me was playing Grimsley one year. It was about 40 degrees out and a torrential downpour. When we went down in a 3 point stance midfield, water went up past my elbow. Probably because of that it was a running backs dream. Basically if they could reach the edge of the field where that water was only a few inches deep, it was an automatic touchdown. We pissed ourselves constantly to stay warm, coaches took pity on us at half time (an extremely rare thing) letting us swap into dry away-game uniforms to warm up for a few minutes. I believe our RB, Carlos Doggett set a state record for rushing yards 365 if I remember) and rushing tds with 6.
10/13/2014 2:33:03 PM
tight end....and stayed that way. was never a wide receiver.

^ Wow thanks! He is to this day, the best running back I've ever seen play the game. Had an unfortunate string of events during his time at state and never really had a chance at the college level to develop.
10/13/2014 4:54:48 PM
Hey ncstatetke did you also play kickball and beach volleyball?
10/13/2014 5:50:31 PM
I lettered 3 years in foosball. 2 in ping pong. For real, if we're posting IM flag football accomplishments, I once intercepted 4 passes in a single game and dropped what would have been the 5th . Pretty sure that makes me like a 2nd team all american safety at least. ]

FullbackListen to really really awful rap musicI was recruited at a few schools but I would have been a glorified tackling dummy.No.I was knocked out cold as a freshman my third week of varsity by Marcus Simms (Ernie Simms' little brother). I pancaked him when we wasn't looking. Next play, dude hunted me down and lit my world up. Also, a guy who ended up playing O-line at Louisville dropped a 2 pound weight on my balls when I was benching. I got up to confront him and he ended up beating me into oblivion until out 300lb ex-UGA linemen head coach pulled him off of me. Florida football kind of sucks.
10/14/2014 7:42:27 PM
Center (of the bench)Guard (ed the water cooler)Tackle (d anyone that got near it)No, I didn't have any rituals. No, I was not good. No, I don't recall any hazing of any kind, actually. As a younger player or an older player. Although, one/some/? on the team would regularly break into the lockers during practice and steal anything they could find. Like, if you had a dollar in the pocket of your street clothes, that shit was gone. Coach never did anything because blah blah starting running back.No interesting stories. I got hurt near the end of the regular season during a practice my senior year and watched the the playoffs from the stands. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and I'm still in touch with some of my team mates and a few of the coaches.
10/14/2014 9:25:25 PM
WR/SafetyNoNot ReallyNoPlayed against Mario Williams in high school. They(Rich lands) beat the shit out of us, just like East Duplin, Wallace Rose Hill, Clinton, Southwest Onslow did on a Friday night basis

I quit after a week and a half. I suck.I also quit wrestling the same year. I'm a compulsive quitter.also, while I'm confessing embarrassing shit: during middle-school football, somebody got a hold of my cup, which looked like this and held it up, and everyone laughed at me. still, it wasn't as bad as it could have been...the incident was mostly forgotten by the next practice, and I was only rarely reminded of it. but enjoy that schadenfreude, nevertheless.]
10/16/2014 11:40:02 PM
^why is that embarrassing? Cups are funny, but you're a fucking idiot not to wear one playing football.First play on defense every game I cup checked the OL in front of me. If he wasn't wearing one, I knew I'd have an easy night
10/17/2014 4:47:47 AM
^^,^TIL it was possible for a football jock to also be a math nerd
10/17/2014 4:57:48 AM
^^I guess the pic doesn't convey the size of the cup (I was wondering if that info would come across.) It was very much on the lower (possibly the lowest) end of this spectrum:Of course, a cup in itself is a completely standard piece of clothing in a football locker room. But a small cup is a mortifying object to have passed around amongst your peers.I'm surprised I live it down so quickly, in fact.]

The names on that chart have me laughing entirely too hard this early in the morning.

^x3 Yep. If you can't beat someone by playing the game by how it is intended to be, you're a pussy. It's like a late hit after the whistle. If you can't hit someone correctly during gameplay then you suck.[Edited on October 17, 2014 at 8:35 AM. Reason : *]

I wrestled in high school and as a freshman i had a broken leg, but there was a senior on our team who wrestled dirty. by that i mean he would shove his fingers in the ass of his opponent to gain an advantage. His name was Charlie Somethingwell he came back to "help coach" as a graduate and he thought he was tough shit so when he challenged us "little people" to wrestle i broke his ass and it was fun. (no homo)

that shit is worthy of an eye roll no matter who says it, but doubly so when it's someone so dumbp.s. "soccer" is shorthand for "association football," so even the american term is perfectly correct
