I had a wart on my shin that I had to freeze off. It looked almost exactly like that second pic. It was gross but now you can't even tell it was there. I've got a pic but not with me.

This is gross I cant imagine getting sunburn that bad. I got a pretty bad one this weekend that is painful but nowhere near something like this.

^^I just don't get it. have you had these before? have you seen them on other people? I *don't* live in a bubble, which is precisely why I don't understand your comment. I've seen a lot of shit in my day, IRL and on the 'nets, and outside of these two instances, I've never seen nor heard of these wretched things.

i thought these were a normal thing that every kid got at least once during their childhood before learning their lesson and listening to their parents instructions to put on some more sunscreen? are there really people who never get a sever sunburn with blisters at any point in their life? maybe people in the middle of the country who don't grow up going to the beach every year?[Edited on September 17, 2014 at 11:10 AM. I'm pretty white, I have always been an outdoor person, and I have never gotten a sunburn blister. Other burn blisters, yes. I just got one a few weeks ago. But from a sunburn? No. I have burned really badly before, but I just look lobsterish for a few days, and then it all peels off.]
9/17/2014 11:20:10 AM
^ ditto to all that. I have gotten sun poisoning before and never had blisters.
9/17/2014 11:31:07 AM
I got this on the back of my legs during a childhood beach trip (I was probably around 8)
9/17/2014 11:33:53 AM
The only time I've ever got blisters was when firework ashes fell on my shoulder. That shit hurt.
9/17/2014 11:38:56 AM
9/17/2014 11:39:33 AM
yes, of course i've had them, i grew up as a kid who loved sun and water
9/17/2014 11:41:39 AM
I never wore sunscreen as a kid and never even got remotely close to something like that.
9/17/2014 11:50:12 AM
no, those big blisters are not normalregardless of what dumbshit dtownral claims is common knowledge
9/17/2014 11:59:56 AM
i guess you nerds just spent too much time inside playing nintendo and getting fat
9/17/2014 12:28:09 PM
okay, so you're just trolling.
9/17/2014 12:30:17 PM
no, sunburn blisters are pretty normal. i bet you can google it on your own to confirm that. they are called 2nd degree sunburns (at least colloquially in NC they are)[Edited on September 17, 2014 at 12:36 PM. Reason : .]
9/17/2014 12:33:46 PM
they still aren't normal.
9/17/2014 1:04:54 PM
"not at all uncommon" would have been a better description
9/17/2014 1:05:47 PM
blisters like slappy described (tiny) are commongiant yellow blisters that look like the result of a mustard gas are notplease shut the fuck up
9/17/2014 1:37:47 PM

9/17/2014 1:47:04 PM
my original statement was more or less sarcastic... and this is CC last time I checked. I agree with dtownral on all statements so far in this thread.
9/17/2014 3:19:04 PM
I really wanna pop those.
9/17/2014 3:22:17 PM
I really, really wish I hadn't done a GIS for "sunburn blister"
9/17/2014 4:09:50 PM
even if you do GIS this the blisters in question are 1 every 30 picsthe other 29 being the tiny common blisters or people (somehow) burned to the bonestill not common the only time ive seen blisters like that were when someone touched their leg to a sidepipe on a cobra replica
