The transmitter crystal on my garage door remote popped off the PCB a couple of weeks ago.I just tested it by putting the crystal into its original spot and the garage remote transmitted (and raised the garage door).I need someone to preferably come to my place (so I can test right away) and solder literally 2X2 mm connections onto the remote. Payment: taking bids.

What area do you live in?I'll potentially do it for a 6 pack of good beer, depending on location.[Edited on July 28, 2014 at 7:18 PM. Reason : .]

I'm pretty far away, near Southpoint mall in Durham. It honestly isnt a terrible idea just to buy a soldering iron, grab some scrap wires and practice for about 10 minutes to get the hang of it. Sounds like it's not a super delicate task and you may just be able to pull it off pretty easily with a little guidance from Youtube.
