In response to my own post in the MBTI thread: /message_topic.aspx?topic=590323&page=7#16097310

"Someone should make a thread about the "Big Five" or OCEAN model of personality, which has a stronger empirical basis and is widely accepted in psychology"

OCEAN model: http://www.outofservice.com/bigfive/results/?oR=0.975&cR=0.556&eR=0.156&aR=0.528&nR=0.531&y=1980&g=m

Openness to experience
Conscientiousness
Extraversion
Agreeableness
Neuroticism
(I was respectively in the 95th, 41st, 3rd, 22nd, and 49th percentiles.)

---

This is an up-and-coming model that augments and may replace OCEAN, the HEXACO model: http://hexaco.org/scaledescriptions.html
Honesty/Humility
Emotionality (similar to "Neuroticism")
eXtraversion
Agreeableness
Conscientiousness
Openness to experience

The creators of the scale allow the 60-item and 100-item versions to be downloaded for free, but the 200-item version, which best measures the four facets of each of the six scales, is only available on request and only intended for academic work; the model also includes an "interstitial" facet called Altruism, which is most closely related to H,E, and A.

This test measures the 24 non-interstitial facets of the HEXACO model, using 240 items from the International Personality Item Pool: http://psychometrics.akresgr.org/personalitytest1

These are my results:
