Is still around. I don't think I've heard anything from him since the days of Fat and Amish Paradise.

He's releasing a new video per day for 8 days. I saw his Tacky video going around yesterday, but I am partial to today's, Word Crimes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc

Bets on what the next parodies will be?

"Fat" and "Amish Paradise" were almost a friggin' decade apart. You didn't hear his big "Polka Face" medley a few years ago?

[Edited on July 15, 2014 at 1:05 PM. Reason : Because it was pretty choice.]

I suppose I should have said those are his only two songs I could name off the top of my head, and he hasn't crossed my mind since the last time I heard one of them.

No, I must have missed that one.

Posted in the other thread, Weird Al rapping as Sir Issac Newton
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yis7GzlXNM

And Weird Al was recently Hitler on Drunk History.

He was pretty funny as Uncle Muscle on the Tim & Eric show

The Night Santa Went Crazy is one of his best, in my opinion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yis7GzlXNM
(Scully & Mulder make an appearance)

I'm afraid that I might not even recognize some of the parodies since I hardly listen to any "mainstream" modern music.

Polka Party was the third record I ever got, after Michael Jackson's Thriller and ZZ Top's Afterburner

The Night Santa Went Crazy is one of his best, in my opinion

Here's a list of all his music videos, and links:

Tacky had a great video, I like the humor of today's song better though...especially where the mocks Prince since they have a little spat going on.

Skwinkle, don't you remember "Perform This Way" (2011) or "White & Nerdy" (2006) or "Ebay" (2003...okay, it was released as a single in 2007 but the album came out in 2003) or even "The Saga Begins" (1999)?

[Edited on July 15, 2014 at 7:39 PM. Reason : also "All About the Pentiums" (1999) lol

[Edited on July 15, 2014 at 7:41 PM. Reason : oh yeah, also "Whatever You Like" (2009)

I adore Word Crimes. Brilliance. Anything which openly mocks the complete horror of poor spelling, grammar, and generally inept grasp of the English language which is commonly seen everywhere one goes on the internet nowadays gets a gold star from me.

I sincerely hope that he comes back to the DPAC with a tour for this new album. I would gladly buy a ticket on the first available day.

Someone gave me tickets to the Koko Booth show last night.

It was kinda given as a gag gift, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was actually really fun.

Unfortunately it had to be cut-short due to the weather.

^he did that song, came out in full Nirvana attire, cheerleader w/ pop-poms dancing around, bassist bare-footed and holding his bass near the ground. Also came out in the Fat suit, devo attire, etc. etc.

I was there, too! That storm rolled in fast. My sister literally started crying because he didn't do word crimes yet.

Also, I have a pretty decent collection of his old stuff on vinyl that my dad passed to me.

Yeah, I remember him walking out around the lake to Tacky.

Polka Party! was one of the first records I ever got (along with ZZ Top's Afterburner, Thriller, and Europe's Final Countdown). Switched to tapes soon after that.

an earnest biopic of Weird Al completely misses the point

also, that’s what Behind the Music was for, and there is an ep on him
