What's up with that? Its not all men. But I know several that are always sick, or not feeling well, or have some other kind of undiagnosed illness. Is it a fad that I don't know about or something? It is definitely not attractive in the least.

Hey I think I'm one of these! It relates to being dehydrated from a combination of diabetes and moderate alcohol usage combined with working a full time engineering job with a part time engineering job on the side and having severe allergies (including dust, which my office has plenty of because gov doesn't pay for proper janitorial services any more) and periodic stomach issues. I take a half dozen medications which balances most of the various defects out reasonably well. I am not sure I count however because you said "undiagnosed illness". Also wearing a jacket all the time at work even in the summer months isn't that weird if your office has constantly running HVAC with the AC keeping it cold as shit. I had to wear a fleece jacket when it was 95 outside at my last job (but you bet I took that fucker off before going outside). I kept my house at 78 degrees so 68 in the office with constantly blowing air was like an ice box. At my current office it gets up to 85 degrees on the hottest days because gov doesn't want to pay too much for that any more either, therefore sweat your balls off.

So what you're saying is that you're a puss.Yeah, people who are always "sick" disgust me. It's 99% bullshit. There are a few possible explanations, Munchhausen type stuff or the more likely explanation which is that they seem to think that the default feeling for your body is great and wonderful, ready to take on the world. It isn't.You're going to feel tired at the end of the week, or if you've been up late. Sometimes you just feel crummy because you didn't eat well the day before or you're dehydrated, etc but you're not really sick. I've missed 1 day of work in the last 4 years (current job) and that was because I was at the ER. I was back the next fucking day. There are people I work with who call out at minimum once per week. There are a few people with chronic conditions, but they represent a vanishingly small percentage of this group of constantly "sick" people.I'm not trying to paint myself as some kind of superhuman by any stretch, but I work a full time job and work out/train about 3-4 hours a day 4 days per week. There are plenty of days when I would much rather just stay in bed and don't feel great, but I'm not sick. Neither are you. Suck it up, go to work and try to drink more water and get to bed earlier tomorrow.[Edited on June 5, 2014 at 9:18 PM. Reason : sdfsdf]

An ex of mine was like this. If it wasn't his asthma it was his scalp, if it wasn't that it was a cold every other month or an attack of some kind like a rash or pain in his joints or headaches or his knee was hurting or some other random thing. I couldn't take it anymore.[Edited on June 6, 2014 at 11:06 AM. Reason : allergies!]

Oh man I forgot to mention the eyesight phase!! All of a sudden one day he said he was starting to see double. In the span of a month he went to sooooo many eye doctors for special glasses. We went into the city on a date and we're walking around center city and passed an eye doctors office that was opened. So of course I spent the next hour and a half waiting in the lobby because he had to have an impromptu eye exam. He spent a lot of money on special lenses and very trendy frames. Eventually the omg I can't see phase died down only to be replaced by the omg I need all the pills my acupuncturist recommends phase.
