the amount of cheezy Schwarzenegger lines in that movie is amazing. This video doesn't even scratch the surface.

You must be living under a rock. It's not a matter of forgetting to order them, or carelessness in maintaining adequate supply.

The problem is the company that makes the drug doesn't want it used for lethal injection. There must be a free way to kill people.

^^ then what does the company make the drug for?

so then, if they don't want it used for that, how are states able to get hold of it and use it? and since it *is* used for that, how is it hard for other states to get a hold of it?

Just leave it up to the executioner and let him have fun with it.

It's some real cloak-and-dagger shit

basically they take complicated measures to ensure the manufacturers don't know that the entity they're selling to will ultimately hand off the drugs to executioners, and when the manufacturers find out, it's back to the drawing board for the states

whatever happened to good old fashioned hangings and firing squads? hell of a lot cheaper, and more "humane" for those who care about the ethical treatment of murderers and traitors

They would fall under the "unusual" part of cruel and unusual by modern day standards. So would electrocution really...

If they did put executions on tv, I'd predict an increase in the number of people against capital punishment.

Americans are very slowly leaning against the death penalty, by 2040, the majority opinion is expected to be against it. I bet if some politician organized against it, we could eliminate it from policy, or at least significantly curtail the cases it's used in.

Tons of things we could peacefully OD them on. Why do they needlessly complicate this?
