A guy I am friends with is planning a Carnival cruise during next years NCSU spring break. Was wondering if anyone has ever done one, especially over SB? He is trying to get over 100 state students on this thing. (said last year over 100 Vtech students were on one as a large group with comps)..just wondering if it is worth it? It's on the newest ship (the Breeze) and with 4 in a room its only 450....thoughts, suggestions, etc?

We should organize a TWW cruise. There are a few of you I would like to push overboard somewhere between Florida and the Bahamas.

the thought of splitting a bedroom four ways for a week sounds atrocious

I have enjoyed both Carnival cruises I went on. However, $450 for 4 to a room seems pretty high, even for a 7 day cruise, unless you're getting an amazing room. Carnival cruises are not expensive, so I would absolutely make sure you're getting the best deal.

Cruise ship cabins are usually TINY so unless you know the details on cabin dimensions I'd be a bit leery.

unless it's a 2-bedroom suite that is a terrible, terrible idea.

I have been on 5 carnival cruises where we split 4 to a room, and usually the cheapest room on the boat. It wasn't bad because we only were in the room to get dressed for dinner, taking shots before going out, and sleeping. Going during spring break was always the funnest cruises because it is packed with young people (from all different types of colleges). 450 sounds like a good price for 7 days too, but the price is usually dependent on which islands/ports you stop at.Have fun, it will be a blast.

I organize one of these every year since I was in undergrad in 2007. The prices range dependent on if you want an ocean view, balcony, or just the plain inside. I will say that the inside rooms you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what time it is because it is pitch dark in them (good time to bring girls back and not have roomies mad you're banging haha) That being said....whoeever said 450 isn't a good deal over spring break is crazy. It does depend on the line. Carnival is WAY cheaper than Royal Caribbean. I wanted to go on the newest largest boat for 2015 and the Allure would be 1,000 each for 7 nights in an interior. I have found a balcony room already priced it with 4 of us next year with Carnival at 700 each. The main goal is to NEVER pay over 100 per day... this years we got for 75 a day...best part is the people who argue about all inclusive being cheaper, (YEAH RIGHT) because now carnival offers the Cheers programs for drinks at 50 dollars a day. so I am looking at 1,000 for my cruise which will have everything and my round trip flight for 200. Now I just need about 100 a day to save and thats a 2k trip. Well worth it to me.
