Lawn weeds starting to invade my yard. Planning this weekend to take care of it. Any suggestion on what you guys use for lawn care?

there's a lawn thread in old school. and the overwhelming answer around here would probably be 'a service'.

get centipede grass. it will choke out almost anything

how about not contributing to human-driven monoculture by planting invasive grasses? I love my wildflower lawn, and so does the wildlife.

What is the best grass to plant in my yard? It is shady and I drive on it sometimes.thanks,str8bacardil

Centipede does not like to be driven on. It will die back if you drive on it enough. Hell it will thin out if you walk on it too much.

Our Zoysia has been very hardy. It hasn't had fertilizer in who knows how long and is starting to come back in this year. We will finally fertilize it just because it wasn't that green last year, but it's been at minimum 3 years since anyone did anything to it other than mow. Is recommended for high traffic areas. Only downside is that it's the last lawn to turn green in the spring by a couple weeks and it grows slow so it might take a while to have a nice yard if you seed it. Completely worth it for less mowing and hardy weed resistant grass.

you missed the boat on pre-emergent. Scott's Bonus S weed and feed works well on my centipede and bermuda.
