Some bitch just said this to me. How can someone think such a thing? Ridiculous.

perhaps she's racist against white people
2/4/2014 11:58:31 AM
did she use the present tense?

Holy shit. I'm convinced that most unfunny people just don't understand what makes things funny. It's why so many people love hacks like Jeff Dunham.Aziz has gotten a lot better recently though. It seems like he's found a voice with his standup. His previous stuff was just stories with a funny inflection to his voice. His new specials are more thoughtful.[Edited on February 4, 2014 at 12:03 PM. Reason : ^lol]

In her defense, Hedberg's stuff has been pretty lacking recently.
2/4/2014 12:02:32 PM
Hedberg used to be funny
2/4/2014 12:03:24 PM
I think aziz is funnier, but they have totally different styles. Hedberg had great oneliners. Aziz its all in the delivery of what is just dumb stories about his life.
2/4/2014 12:10:51 PM
I usually just find Aziz annoying. "In Hong Kong they eat snakes. SNAKES!!!"Hedberg was definitely funnier.
2/4/2014 12:21:58 PM
Mitch is one of the few stand up comedians that have made me laugh so hard that I've cried/almost pissed myself. And he manages to do it all in one line. No disrespect to Aziz but I just feel like Mitch is on a completely different level.
2/4/2014 12:25:21 PM
Tom Haverford is a much better basketball player than Mitch Hedberg
2/4/2014 12:29:25 PM
Raaaaaaaandy was funny as hell, but Mitch was on another level.[Edited on February 4, 2014 at 12:36 PM. Reason : DJ Ol' Youngin']

They have completely different acts, so its easy to see why someone would find one much funnier than the other. I think I've listened to all of their stand-ups, and I think they're pretty even. I've seen both live (Mitch twice, about to see Aziz for the second time a couple months from now), and Aziz was much better live. That being said...I'm about 90% sure Mitch was fucked up during his act...although I'm not sure he's ever done an act sober, so that doesn't mean much.Mitch is a one-liner comedian (probably one of the best ever), Aziz is more of a performance comedian. Aziz also seems to be getting better with each stand-up special he does.I also think Mitch has a good amount of the 2pac effect (celebrities somehow become much better posthumously than they every were while they were alive). People quote his one-liners all the time...but he had a decent amount of silent moments during his acts.[Edited on February 4, 2014 at 12:49 PM. Reason : .]

I prefer Jim Jefferies

Eh...I only the read the OP.I will say that the first time I saw Aziz live, he did about 25 minutes of "trying out new stuff"...then spent the rest of the hour playing off the crowd...and he crushed it. It was a small venue, so it catered to something like that...but I was impressed with his improvisational comedy. Definitely garnered a new level of respect after that.

Which one stars in a sitcom on a major network? There is your answer.
2/4/2014 1:29:57 PM
He just seems like a hard-working dude who desperately wants to be funny. Those are the fixings for a good comedian.

I watched two of Aziz's specials and chuckled maybe twice. Seems like he's always yelling and it's really distracting.

HOLY SHIT- THIS CUNT HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION THAN ME... WHAT A BITCH!!!
2/4/2014 3:07:11 PM
^How would you feel if some cocky little kid told you that Nickelback was better than the Beatles?
2/4/2014 3:32:07 PM
someone has to like them. If he told me I was wrong for my opinion, then I'd break him down, but if he wants to listen to something I don't, who am I to care. but I think comedy is even more subjective. everyone's butthole stinks, k?
2/4/2014 3:39:10 PM
2/4/2014 4:06:21 PM
Lots of people really like Nickleback
2/4/2014 5:02:57 PM
did I argue otherwise?
2/4/2014 5:05:52 PM
2/4/2014 5:25:30 PM
I mean, they've been around a long time, they've made a bunch of money, they sell out shows, they have a huge fanbase. But I personally think they suck, much like Aziz
2/4/2014 5:30:44 PM
Wow. I had no idea that you guys worshiped Aziz Ansari so much.
2/4/2014 5:36:40 PM
i like aziz ansari. he's funny.i don't like nickelback, but i respect the hell out of chad kroeger as a businessman.

mitch was hysterically funny without making fun of anyonethat's talent
2/4/2014 7:05:04 PM
aziz ansari has done some very funny work. this statement should not be treated as heresy.it's a lot like how no one's allowed to be better than kurt cobain. they even look the same.side note: how many comedians die of coke+heroin overdoses? jesus.]

I really like Aziz and Mitch Hedberg. Why can't we just say they're both good at what they do/did?
2/5/2014 9:39:19 AM
From watching the Comedy Central Roast of ________ (I can't even remember who it was now), everyone made references to how Azis was arrogant and fame-hungry.
2/5/2014 9:41:51 AM
So?
2/5/2014 10:20:46 AM
I am just saying...
2/5/2014 11:08:31 AM
that's what a roast is for....
2/5/2014 12:44:09 PM
In Scrubs, Azis character was very arrogant, and everyone hated him. This was early in his TV/Movie career and I think he absorbed that character a little too much. Or he made money off that character and it works for him so that his onstage persona? either way I think he a douche bag in character for his profession or a real douche bag
2/5/2014 1:58:46 PM
English?
2/5/2014 2:29:30 PM
Saw him again last night...was pretty fucking funny. Recycled a few jokes, but probably 95% was all new material. Act centered around dating and relationships in our current world with social media and texts. Hit most everything spot on. Different comics...both hilarious at what they do ("did" in Mitch's case).
